I still regret the year we made him fill out too much. It cost him a decent amount of speed he had as a rookie which definitely impacted his ability to defend on the floor.
They tried to dial it back too but at that point, the bulk had taken over.

What does that last part mean? You can lose muscle mass, it’s not a permanent thing. It gets harder with age which is why boxers often go up in weight class as they age as one of the reasons.
