Sorry I should clarify – what I’m saying is reffing isn’t anywhere near as bad as it was under Stern where you had multiple playoff games that garnered infamy. For all of Silver’s stupidity with the gambling, we’ve never had a 2002 WCF situation or 2006 Finals. So if Pablo finds something, I don’t think it’ll be a smoking gun compared to what we could’ve had had Stern not impeded the federal investigation.

Could you not argue that there are a lot of things the NBA would actively want to cover up, and the FBI/federal government would be complicit in ensuring that it’s covered up? I think you’re underestimating the power Pablo currently has though. He doesn’t even have to do much digging but he can shine a light on past issues that were kind of swept under the rug, like Scott Foster still being around all these years later despite quite a stink.
