Lonzo Ball appeared to suggest that he was done playing in the NBA, but later pushed back on the retirement reports.

NBA.com reports that Ball is now saying he is “waiting for a call” and remains interested in continuing his NBA career.

Yes he certainly does, while he may not have the explosiveness or athleticism he came in with due to injuries he is still a great talent to have. His IQ and his passing are great still and given an opportunity and some good luck with his body, he’s still an extremely useful player.

There really isn’t room for point guards like that in the league anymore. The rising ceiling on skill and athleticism got rid of the traditional point guard a long time ago. You gotta be able to get a bucket or stop someone from getting a bucket, and he struggles to do both of those things at this point in his career.

The thing is he has good size and length he’s like 6’6 with a 6’9 wingspan and most importantly hes had great shooting seasons, like as a catch and shoot kinda guy.

I’m surprised he can’t find a spot given he’s a great passer and low mistake player which is what you want as a 3rd string guard
