I think he was 1 board or assist away from the youngest triple double in that game as well. Summer league MVP that year Lonzo was supposed to be great man so sad he got completely derailed by his knee

The knee obviously completely derailed his career but I don’t think he was ever going to be a star, he couldn’t create offense well enough for himself. Should’ve had a long career as a solid starting PG though.

If he just plateaued at his chicago version without injuries he would’ve had a long long career as a high end winning role player.

If that version was on the lakers and he spent his whole career there with that peak I wouldn’t be ecstatic since he’s a 2nd pick but also wouldn’t be too mad. That’s a winning player.

That Bulls team was very underrated. Obviously they were not contenders but they were if healthy a second tier team in the East. I doubt they would have ever competed for a championship with that core even if healthy but they could have been a move or two away.
