Why do people pretend Mac played with scrubs his entire career. He was on an up & coming Raptors team but wanted his own team. You don’t get to complain about that. Then he gets traded to a good Rockets team and he can’t get them out of the first round.
Put Kobe on those Rockets teams and they walk away with at least one ring in 2009.
Kobe was a much better defender but also much more efficient in the playoffs than T-Mac with and without Shaq years. I think people look at T-mac’s raw numbers and they’re pretty good but he was wildly inefficient in the playoffs. Those raw numbers never amounted to winning in the postseason on the Raptors/Magic/Rockets.
I love TMac but 2003 was really the only year he was on par with Kobe.
