I wish there were more fans who respected this sentiment

I like the guys who ask the person’s name and write “To XXXX”. If they just want to sell it, it’s worthless, and if they want it for themselves, it just became 10x more special.

It does take more time, though.

I had the pleasure of watching Ayami play for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the then IBL last year, attending many of their games. It was a true honor to see her dedication to the game and being a role model for all. She is a true ambassador of baseball, many could learn from her.

Always cool to see a player who actually gets that the scribble on a ball means way more to the person receiving it than the resale value. Sucks that some folks just grab stuff to flip it, but the fact she’s doubling down on making it personal for the ones who show up is pretty refreshing

I thought the fix for this was to ask their name and personalize it. Takes more time but kind of seems like thats his vibe as the kids say.

Certain “fans” on their way to ruin this:

Hot take: autographs are silly. Just a sheet of paper with a signature. Sometimes player doesn’t even say a word to you. A photo with the player and you is 100 times better.
