I know that’s complaining on a high level and every single on is impressive on its own… but as a “body of work” it’s kinda “boring” that there is not really that much variety. Everything is a 360, always turned the same way with just variations of what he does with the ball around his body. Give me something off the backboard or a self-alley-hoop to mix it up a little… or even a 360 turning the other way round. He found his specialty and basically spams it. With variations, but still all the same basic concept.
Also, we need to be a little more judicious with the 360 label. Most 360 dunks are barely 180 degrees. It’s still incredible, but it’s weird that we just label any turn as 360 degrees.

Absolutely agree. Guys are probably 90degree rotated before the jump (which I get, you have to generate the force to spin) and then are jamming it before they come back around.
People are looking at their heads when they jump and land.
Like OP said though; high level complaining because I probably couldn’t do these on an 8’ rim. But this is a dunk contest where the whole purpose of the event is to be judged on what you do

What I see as a potential point of improvement is to sorta “slow” the dunks down but keep the power aspect. What kinda bothers me about most of these dunks and I think the crowd as well is that you really need to wait for the slowmo to really appreciate what hes doing. As the dunks are happening live, the average person has a really hard time following the execution. This is why so many people i think love that vince carter dunk contest, all of those dunks were easy to follow and appreciate in the moment without slow mo. I have no idea how you would adjust the scoring to appreciate that, because these crazy dunks need the speed so you can execute them, but ye just my thoughts.

Ye theres no way you can do most of these slower, but maybe theres some middle ground where you reduce the complexity by a little bit but add much more flair. Showmanship is like 50% of the whole point, and i think it really does the whole product a disservice if the technicality and degree of dificulty is 99% of what goes into the scoring.
That’s the part that Vince Carter really mastered. His dunks were like watching scenes from a movie. So much style, even in real time.
