The saddest part of all of this is that the Browns in that same time span not only had 1-15 and 0-16 seasons as well as 2 winning seasons and a playoff win. Arguably the worst run franchise in American sports is doing better than the Angels are.

I believe every Big 4 franchise has at least one winning season in the last 11 years. If the Jets finish under .500 again this year, they will be tied.

We’re doing our best to get there this year

They would need to go, at best, 10-19 to get to 100 losses. Seems doable for them.

They are currently on pace to lose 99 games.

Which is an improvement from their last month or so when they were on pace to lose 100.

They’re up in the top of the ninth then the mariners load the bases, my friend looks at me and goes “I feel like this is bad right?” And I just looked at her with my hat covering most of my face, next pitch was a grand slam and they lost

But if you’re actually curious about the origins of the team name and not just doing the same dumb circlejerk this sub loves, the current Angels are named after the PCL Los Angeles Angels, who were directly named after the city of LA.

Technically they dont have “the” in their name, so its just “The Angels Angels”.
