Why does the NBA have so many great players who are successful coaches compared to other leagues?
Guys like Lenny Wilkens, Larry Bird, KC Jones and Bill Russell are all Hall of Fame players and decent or better coaches.
I can’t think of any equivalents in other sports. Plenty of decent players become good coaches but not too many HoFers. Frank Robinson and Yogi Berra are the only ones I can think of from MLB and I can’t think of any from the NFL.
