A good number of the skills look like either existing enemy abilities or adaptions of existing skills from PoE 1 (Charged Dash, Bladestorm, Perforate, Lacerate, etc). They probably just seem similar because they are both fast attacking melee weapons.
It looks similar, and likely named the same as well, bc this was/is an extension of PoE1. Should be fun AF

Class locked?? You can play any skill on any class. They are weapon locked
Whatcha talking about? Weapon skills are not class locked. Any class can use any weapon, the skills are locked behind weapon types.

I really hope we are getting at least 1 more class for launch. I don’t want to be negative, because I get there is only so much you can do with a gladiator class, but the skills looked hella recycled. Was hoping for more new if that makes sense. Also I am hoping there is a cool mechanic they will reveal to make it stand out.
If we could get shadow or Templar with Gladiator that would be perfect. Templar would make the most sense since it is also a sword class if I recall, or at least 1h and board.

From GGG it takes more work to design a new weapon/class than all of act 4-6. Probably unlikely that we’ll get another class
I was hoping for a bit more as well. Perhaps they’ll surprise everyone with more reveals for Exilecon, though it would be strange that they didn’t want to use them as marketing material at Gamescom were it the case.
What will this mean? I been pretty causal player, barely made it into endgame to be honest. I dont think i have it in me to do the story again…

Well unless they change their minds they have said there are no plans to skip the campaign.
So, be prepared to do that again if you wish to play a new character.
It’s ok. Repeating campaigns every 4 months isn’t for everyone. That’s why my friend doesn’t care to play. Me personally, I absolutely love and am addicted to this game. Running the campaign gets me hyped up bc I think about my build blasting maps. Then I get to problem solve and figure out my main build as I put it together. The feeling is going from northing to an insanely strong character destroying everything while my currency stacks higher and higher in the stash. That, I fuckin love. Hope you one day also come to enjoy it bc the game is incredible. Act 5 and 6 is gonba be insane.
I get that and all, but there are some of us who want a different archetype and going through campaign just to start a new toon is a bit boring. You just speed through anyway so there really is no point keeping you locked away when you already did on the first character. It’s just additional friction and a mindless run. I myself already ran all classes except Monk this league. Maps is fun and all, so please GGG just get me to maps after doing the campaign once per league
Yeah I totally get it. I used to think the same when I first started poe1. But then I found out the fun and excitement of building the character and putting it together and learning about it and troubleshooting it. That is fun for me. Sadly, for you guys, there will never be a full campaign skip. GGG will definitely make it easier and a smoother campaign experience. But we’ll never see a full campaign skip to end game.
Maybe PoE2 (and ARPGs in general) are just not for you. The PoE campaign in the grand scheme of things (compared to the other ARPGs on the market, past and present) is actually pretty good, and way less painful than its competition, and once you get a handle on the game can be completed pretty quickly.
Also, you have only played half the campaign at this point, there is still half a game you havent even seen yet. (And this is why youre getting downvotes)
I need to get a 200 div belt before then so I can actually enjoy end game. This is good to know tho
