I remember following the Kuminga saga while it was happening on your sub. Aaron Turner is a clown and he should’ve been thrown to the curb if Kuminga had an above room temperature iq.

I think it was Warrior’s media pundit, Monte Poole, who last year said something like “I’m not sure Kuminga feels losing.” .. which by all means seems to match everything I’ve ever seen with the kid.

If he was serious about winning, he would have watched Steph win him a title in 22 and said the next year and the year after, “Steve, What you want me to do? I’m ready to learn and help the team.” Instead he thought he was Kobe. Imagine though, if he’d taken the role that was asked of him, embraced and excelled at it, where he would be right now at 23. Playing off ball at an elite level requires BBiq that a lot of players don’t have. Very very tough to make some of those reads and unless you’re an MPJ type guy where you’re an ATG shooter, it’s tough to be effective.

Kuminga’s ideal role is “net negative innings eater”. Demar derozan, Paolo Banchero, Jalen Green, and Jaylen Brown are all versions of that, and have gotten paid because of it.

As a warriors fan I just never liked how he played basketball. The dude has all these physical gifts and is brainless. If you can’t find space to get good shots off next to curry I think that says a lot about you. Despite this he’d still find a way to put up numbers in some playoff games so I wasn’t sure if I was just way off base with my evaluation of him. The market is saying some things though…
