To be fair Siakam attempted 19 shots per game while Nembhard attempted 13. He just straight up didn’t have the volume to hit the 20+ PPG mark.
Nembhard’s focus seemed to be more about taking a massive leap with his playmaking rather than scoring. He went from averaging 5 assists per game to 8 while keeping his turnovers extremely low.
He learned a lot last season and is now going back to having opponents second or third best perimeter defender guarding him.
He’s getting “most improved” votes this year, and he might just win it

Unless you do a pump fake before a drive and mildly shuffle the back foot.
There’s absolutely zero tolerance for that specific type of travel.
No, it’s clean by current rules. He’s got his right foot down when he gathers the ball, and then he’s allowed two steps after that, which he does. One could quibble over exactly when the gather happens, but NBA refs are pretty charitable about not counting the gather until the second hand touches the ball.
