Would have been great to have Tommy around for #18. But I also love that Heinsohn was the only person to have the distinction of being involved in an official team capacity in each of the Celtics’ first 17 championships, as well as each of their first 21 NBA Finals appearances. source

I’ll never forget when Tommy had words with a ref mid game. I think it was Scott Foster? He was like “yeah me and that ref are gonna chat after this game” and the way he said ‘chat’ had me dying lol
He loved talking about how his wife thought Scott Foster was handsome.
I was watching an old game from 2016 (IT scoring 52 points on some bums) over the weekend and it was glorious to experience the game back with Tommy and Mike. Loved those guys on the call so much.

Back in the 1980s he did road games with Bob Cousy, that was fun. I loved listening to Cousy, that guy could be scary.
I try to channel Tommy at least once per game and yell out things he would have. “Step on his neck” is one of my favorites. I miss the hell out of that guy

Going from Tommy to Scal is an incredible fall from grace. Drew was a pleasant surprise though.
He was a true Celtic through and through. Made the tough years bearable and the good years even more special. And he never quit on the team.

Remember when he mocked the Celtics’ struggles during that losing streak? His timing was unmatched, making even bad games hilarious. That comedic spark is just gone now.
