Relatedly, what’s wrong with the on-screen clock? It goes down to 4.5, before jumping back to 4.7 and then freezing for 2+ seconds.
Looks like the in arena clocks were still working fine, which makes it more odd.
Can’t really comment on the exact situation cause I wasn’t there, but in most middle of the road arenas I work in, there is no way to get the actual clock data to production.
So we usually use a camera to film the arena clock and scoreboard and slap the data it captures on screen, and it works semi-well, but it’s slow to update and quite prone to errors, so maybe that’s what happened there.
Yeah, I think that must be what happened. I think the 4.5 part threw me off. But looking at the clock on the shot clock, it actually goes to 4.5 for a split second too. So it’s definitely mirroring that.

Those are all advanced stats which grade Jokic very well (even defensively they tend to rate him at least positively, which clashes with the eyeball test quite often).
The big one people point out is Defensive Box Plus Minus because defensive rebounds are highly weighted and he’s good at that. DBPM is supposed to just be a guide though, not gospel.
