Jokic was actually good, but Wemby was catastrophic. Francisco is the most important player on this French roster.
I haven’t watched these friendly games, why is that? Usually Wemby’s defense makes up for his bad offensive games
His jumper is rusty and his shot selection wasn’t good. He had some easy basket inside + the good defense to compensate tho.
I think he’s just a little rusty and out of form right now. I don’t think there’s any particular reason why he’s struggling . He’s just not quite in rhythm at the moment.

In the past two France possesions, Wemby airballed an off the dribble mid range and then commited an offensive foul while setting a screen during an inbounds play.
Jokic was also terrible in the first half, but if we didn’t have this insane breakdown, I could only imagine how flamed Wemby would be that he “choked” again.
I know there’s more grounded analysis to be had: like Wemby guarding Jokic so Nikola stays at the perimeter to pull Victor away from the rim, and both would probably be too slow to run the floor towards the opposite basket, but it’s just funny to see them not involved here.

Wemby wasn’t the main defender on Jokic, at the start it was Board. In the 4th 2 atrocious shoots and an offensive foule. Really bad plays.

Was decent, fought for every ball, showed hustle and had some solid defensive plays.
Nothing spectacular, but not bad as well.
Francisco was really good this game, especially the last five minutes where he single-handedly brought France back into the game by either scoring or assisting on every basket made. He more than deserved being trusted with the ball in the clutch.

From all the possible tank commanders the Thunder had in early 2020 period I really thought Hoard would be the one to stick in the league.

Jovic and Jokic with some ass defense right there. Atleast Jokic has the excuse that Wemby ws behind him and was the last opponent to cross half court but Jovic? He is already on his side of the court and has eyes over the whole court and should have spotted the massive gap in defense but no, he does the “deer in headlights” play aka does nothing but stare at the ball.
This being a friendly game does not excuse it. You can’t make stupid plays a bad habit.
