A story that’s been told for over a decade now … Steph, beginning his first MVP season on, has never been a “bad” defender. At worst, he’s been average. In reality, he’s been slightly-above-average on defense.

The illusion your brain falls for is he was usually the worst defender on a court with players like Draymond, Klay, Iguodala, Bogut, eventually KD … and the list goes on and on. It’s natural teams would attack Steph with all those other guys being the alternative choices.
