Jaylen Brown could be Celtics’ best Trojan Horse for Sixers since Al Horford
Did you mean to email this?
It is a pretty shit article. You can definitely make the case that the Sixers will fall flat with Brown, and the case has been made by others. But the author didn’t really build a case. He just said, “Remember Horford in Philly? What if it happened again?”
I was convinced they would fail with brown, but LeBron is so talented and brilliant that it will all probably work and you have to just accept they are contenders
The Sixers might implode, but it won’t be because of Jaylen Brown, and anyone rooting for him to fail should reassess their relationship with sports.
Embiid shitting the bed, LeBron load managing too much, Maxey becoming disgruntled, Edgecomb wanting a bigger role, Philon wanting consistent playing time, lack of bench bigs, poor chemistry, lack of consistent three point shooting - all things you could point to.
Embiid didn’t shit the bed last year in game 7 against the Celtics.
Dude ended the “Jays era”
at least there was a Jays era buddy. Y’all haven’t done shit in over 40 years
What’s your point?
I listed things I thought to be more probable than Jaylen Brown being a “Trojan horse to the 76ers downfall”
Weird energy.
People disagreed with the things you thought were more probable. You considering that weird energy is just you not handling that super well. And you know what? that’s okay.
Did you think you slapped with this response?
Yeah, kinda
maxey is a literal golden retriever in human form only thing im worried about with him is another finger injury
Lack of Rim Pressure, injuries, injury histories, relying on certain offensive strategies too much, changing lineups with no rhyme or reason to them, having a real dawg on your team that’s taller than 6’1”, lack of leadership, losing complete flow of games, giving up huge leads, blowing games in playoffs because everyone everywhere all at once had a massive brain fart.
IF allllll that shit doesn’t happen….the Celtics might get the 4 seed and win a game in the playoffs.
The Sixers, lol, they’re better than the Celtics this year tho
I was about to write this same response. Lots of reasons they could be one of the failed super teams. But you are right, it’s not going to be Jaylen. I mean he may get frustrated with Embiid and his lack of effort, bad attitude. Brown may even make some comments after losses about lack of effort from certain guys which may cause rifts. Embiid may get frosty when Lebron tells him he’s being soft. But I can’t see Jaylen not giving 100% and playing whatever role they ask of him. The question is will it fit, will the roles fit together. Personally unless they play with a 2nd ball I have a hard time envisioning a championship. The pressure is going to be IMMENSE and Embiid has never done well with that. At the very least it will provide plenty of drama to report.
Nice writing, Doug
Just stop giving attention to that clown. He’s never going to stop and will probably get worse with AI proliferating.
Feel I need to point out that Hardwood Houdini is just a publishing page, where more writers work, and not all of them are this dumb. Bobby Krivitsky writes there and is generally worth reading and is a good follow on BlueSky for timely info about live stuff, like starting line ups and media releases.
The guy that wrote this is an idiot though. Dad3murph in this thread hit the nail on the head “the author didn’t really build a case. He just said, “Remember Horford in Philly? What if it happened again?””
I feel like “remember Horford in Philly” is more interesting in the context of discussions about Paul George and his potential to bounce back in Boston.
This be fucking schtoopid yo
It is a wild claim that you know the value and weight of your words while simultaneously being tone deaf. I get your point but sheesh.
They’re talking about basketball IQ, Tatum should’ve won MVP, LeBron is picking the easiest path to the Finals regardless.
