The last time he was an offball player he had a 60.5% TS as a guard which is very, very good. That was 4 years ago and he is a significantly better player all around now compared to then.
OKC have 3⁄4 ball dominant players, Ajay Mitchell, Shai, JDub and Chet. Spurs also have 3⁄4, Dylan Harper, Wemby, Castle and Fox.
Maxey can also play and is arguable better off-ball. VJ is great off ball too. Brown and Bron both know how to share the ball and Embiid would probably benefit from not always being the one to score all the time.

And Embiid isn’t really gonna play a lot.
And they got Lebron for a minimum, they don’t have space of Watson. And even if they somehow have space for Watson, I don’t think he will be more valuable than Lebron for the same price.

Iām admittedly an Embiid hater (though a begrudging fan of Maxey), but even trying to be objective itās hard to imagine him staying healthy enough in the playoffs for a real run at things.
Maxey, VJ and Brown should be good enough to get them into the playoffs while they lock Embiid into a hyperbaric chamber for the season

Im not a JB fan, but Lebron is lebron and JB and Maxey are healthier than Luka and Austin. Obviously Luka is better but JB and Maxey are better than Reaves. To me Embiid is the real icing on the cake.

Sure, but playing at a lower weight and having his first healthy offseason since prior to his MVP season is a good sign. Even without Embiid, the team is going to be tough to beat. And they have plenty of assets to acquire another center at the deadline if necessary.

KATās contract, the accumulated minutes on those starters who are entering their 30s, replacing Mitch with Drummond, shaky bench that theyāre expecting to replicate their playoff performance, an improved East. And Iām not sure Iāve ever seen bigger let down potential in any sport after a championship. Seems like thereās still a daily parade being held.
Iāve got the Knicks in the play-in behind Detroit, Philly, Boston, Cleveland, Atlanta, Toronto, and Indiana. Could be wrong, but itās not as if they didnāt have major struggles during the regular season last year. Getting hot in the playoffs seems to have erased that from everyoneās memory.
