The second apron is \(234,000,000 that leaves them about \)34 M to figure out the other 9 roster spots. It’d be all minimums and one tax payer MLE. They’d have zero depth and no light at the end of the tunnel.

This gives them much more flexibility. The only reason Watson is even so expensive is because he’s 24.

They wanted a first and no other deal had that i suppose. I would’ve gladly taken Watson + Nnaji for AJ Green and KPJ, much better depth for Denver that way.

Nuggets just lost to an injured Wolves team in the first round. Paying a raw young often injured talent like Watson probably doesn’t change that especially since paying him basically locks this roster in for the next 2-3 years.
