Joel embiid pulled Mitch out of the air by his ankle and didn’t get ejected. He proceeded to score 50 in a win. You only care about calls that went against your team.
lol you’re leaving out that Embiid got called for a charge the play before that but then didn’t get the same call when he tried to take the charge. All he was doing was fouling a known horrible FT shooter. And the foul never would’ve happened if the refs made the right calls

The KAT trade had to happen once iHart signed with OKC. The organization must have realized Mitch was not gonna be healthy to start the season and didn’t have faith in a small ball starting lineup. Bojan was the sole player in the Mikal trade which thankfully worked out lol. Achiuwa was high energy but peaked for like 1 month in the regular season.

Randle is one of those guys who really needs a good point guard to excel, otherwise you need to run the game through him. IMO he felt like an afterthought in the offense for a lot of this postseason.
Man iHart was so insanely good for that Knicks team. Glad he got paid and won, really worked out for both sides in the best way possible

The 2024 Knicks is the peak Thibs roster, I always wonder how far they would have gone without the injuries.
January 2024 was our best squad until May/June 2026.
That team really had it. Randle + Mitch’s injuries killed us, then seemingly everyone got hurt in the playoffs. I really think we matched up to the Celtics that year, as good as they were
Not to mention we lost OG after Pacers game 2, others players started going down as that series went on. It was indeed the Thibs peak experience.
Would want to believe this but seeing how Randle drops off in the playoffs I doubt we’d beat the Celtics that year
I will say, that 40 point obliteration of Boston in Game 6 last year was so cathartic.
Every season in the Thibs era there were some series that I would rewatch highlights of all the time. In 2021 against the hawks we didn’t win, but I still watch the Alec Burks lob to Obi frequently. In 2022 I don’t really revisit that one but sometimes the grimes game where he gets hurt and gets a stop on Jimmy late. In 24 this game specifically was my favorite until last year’s two Celtics comebacks in games 1+2.

Been a fan since 2005 and this was the first time where I felt truly proud of my team. They gave everything they had and fought til they barely had 5 healthy players. Truly a special team after years of disappointment
