What is the NBA equivalent of the Brewers beating the Mariners 22-0?
In the MLB today, a baseball game was played where the Milwaukee Brewers just beat the Seattle Mariners 22-0.
What is the NBA equivalent of such a lopsided performance?
Bam Adebayo scoring 83 on the Wizards
Eh the Brewers are much better than the Heat were last season relative to each sport so not exactly an apt comparison.
But the Wizards were the Wizards, so they basically made the Heat look like the 73-9 Warriors in comparison
Fair.
And like, the Mariners are supposed to be good. They aren’t (speaking as a Mariners fan), but they’re supposed to be.
We fucking suck so bad. Ill die on the hill that Cal not shaking Randy’s hand at the World Baseball Classic was bad karma for the season.
That did feel like a fucking curse for y’all, for real
This is about one game not a bunch of context. Literally a near meaningless Major League baseball regular season game. This isn’t the Redskins being the Bears 73-0 in the NFL championship game or anything
A player scoring a lot of points isn’t the same thing as a team scoring a lot of points
Should’ve stopped at 81 out of respect for Kobe. /s
Being a wizards and marniers fan is borderline self harm…. Fml
Grizzlies spanked us 152-79 in 2021
Holy shit lol. They were really just like, cover me in the dirt, I’m meant for this.
That’s an absurd amount of points to put up, and also an absurd amount of points to not put up.
That was 5 years ago? Christ
Time is a son of a bitch. You could not have told me that we’d go from that to winning a title in 3 and a half years though.
Lost by a Luka, damn
Grizzlies 152 - Thunder 79 12/2/21
Are the Portland trailblazers better without Ja Morant?
“Chris Paul hits a huge 3 to cut the lead to 42”
That was playoffs. Much more egregious
Funny enough. This was the opposite of that.
A player threw the ball away giving twe free runs to the brewers
So the lead got even bigger
Knicks beating the hawks 60-12 in the first quarter
Knicks beating nets 120 - 66 in January
What the Knicks did to the Cavs in game 4. Or the Sixers in game 4. Or the Hawks in game 6.
We’ll always have May 2026
And june 2026
All very great choices there!
Mavs sending the Suns home back in 2022 playoffs. Beating so humiliating the Suns sub locked down
Suns really issued an apology letter
locking the subreddit is a great way to be made fun of even more
120-63
Maybe something like the Mavs beating the Suns in the playoffs
When Luka outscored the entire suns team by a significant margin by half time
This was gonna be my answer if they had played in Seattle instead of Milwaukee (as Phoenix got smacked at home)
That’s a great one
Which Time? Because both were by no means outliers.
When the 16 Warriors would do their patented 3rd quarter ass spreading on half the league
The Utah jazz getting blown out only scoring 54 points in the 98 Finals..the Brewers arent the Bulls but very good record tho, and tho Mariners yet to play in WS I think there’s good corralaries
Bucks 22
Sonics 0
Mavs Suns game 7 in the 2022 playoffs maybe?
I prefer Mavs 122 - Lakers 86
I’m not sure anything really compares to 22-0. That’s…I mean how bad are the Mariners
The Redskins beat the Bears 73-0 in the 1940 NFL championship game
Idk there was that one Hornets Nuggets game in the playoffs back in 07 where the halftime score was like 75-35 or something incredible like that
Knicks-Hawks was 83-36 at halftime in Game 6.
Not sure, but I looked this up: Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder by 73 points with a final score of 152–79.
As a Mavs fan I have to believe one of those first round whoopins from the 8-seed have to be up there
In Game 6 of the first round of the playoffs the final score was..
Knicks: 140
Hawks: 89
bulls vs jazz 98 finals game 3
96-54
nuggets 157 - blazers 103
You at least broke 100
I almost went to that game too. :/
The most lopsided thing I can think of was the 87 Lakers finished the 1st quarter of a game against the kings with a score of like 40 to 4.
Toronto going on a 31-0 run in a win over the Magic 139-87
Terrence Mann game.
Like the Nuggets beating the Pistons 168-92, with Aaron Gordon randomly dropping 71 while Jokic takes eight shots total.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a work day as bad as 0-22, or one as good as 22-0.
I also think it’s really hard to put into basketball terms bc scoring is so weird? 22 hits and 22 runs is insane tho
Maybe the Hawks-Knicks game from this years playoffs. Never forget the score was like 70-20 before halftime.
Team A leads Team B 145-64 with 5 minutes to go. Team B puts in reserves that are all 5’6”. Team A leaves its 7 footers in and they keep trying their hardest. Team A wins 210-64.
3rd quarter game 6 in Atlanta, Knicks 101 Hawks 40.
can someone explain what just happened? how can you score 22 runs how does it makes sense? they were throwing to concede runs?
the Kings beating the Rockets 44,538 to 6 before a sold-out crowd at Arco Arena
Probably Magic second half performance.
What’s weird is how the Warriors lost a game by 50 on the way to their 2022 championship.
It’s like sometimes teams recognize it isn’t their night and really stop trying.
The Cavs once lost to the Lakers even though the Lakers ran out of players and had to let a guy play with six fouls
The Clippers circumventing the salary cap (allegedly) just to make it to the WCF once in a decade.
The Brew Crew are awesome. Go Brewers.
