Nice to own a piece of boston celtics history in retro game form as a retro gamer
Larry Bird was in two One on One games. One vs Dr J and one vs Jordan.
I had both at one point. Dr J for Commodore 64, Jordan for Nintendo. I actually preferred the former bc Doc could shatter the backboard
This is really the title of the game? That’s amazing!
Hell yeah, was like first real NBA game for home consoles back in the day. A precursor to all the EA sports games (it was literally made by EA) and eventually the NBA2K series. Played the hell out of it as a kid.
Yeah it was NBA Live before NBA Live. I owned Bulls vs Blazers
Rolls off the tongue
Gorilla dunk lol
Nice! I’m thinking I sold my copy back to Funcoland back in 1995 right before I left for college. I remember Willie Anderson was better than he had any business being
nice. i have the cartridge still but not the box. same one i played growing up. first nba game i played.
I played it. And I also played Team USA Basketball.
Barkley was unstoppable. That 2 hand dunk from the top of the key… that and Tom Chambers double clutch dunk were too tough to stop.
You could damn near dunk from the 3 pt line with that Chambers dunk. My brother and I had a house rule that no one could use that cheat code dunk in the game lol
I forgot about this game! Used to play this hahaha
I lived for the parts in the game where the coach would stand up in frustration.
Bulls vs Blazers was better. Hard to admit
Well…yeah. I thad all the playoff teams. I recall Lakers v Celtics only had 8?
But it’s the OG. If we’re talking retro, the novelty’s there with this one
I dunno Bulls Vs Blazers on the SNES manages be even slower than Lakers vs Celtics on the PC
Who gives af. All those games were trash, but this title looks better on a shelf
Sorry! I never thought about it from the point of view of an assistant gm at GameStop.
Or… a Celtics fan?
