This is coming from someone who’s not a big Jeanie fan: she did not stab her brothers in the back. The brothers were incompetent and the straw that broke the camel’s back was Jim Buss signing two of the worse contracts of all time in Deng and Mozgov in a desperate attempt to cling to power.

Jeanie rightfully ousted them. That’s not stabbing them in the back that’s telling them to their face they suck and to get the hell out.

I know it’s fun to blame the Buss “kids”, and for sure they seem toxic as hell, but let’s not pretend that Jerry Buss himself doesn’t share blame.

The way he chose to set up the family trust and what they can or cannot do is very much what has resulted in this situation.

And yes, I know I will downvoted for suggesting that Jerry Buss was less than perfect.

Based on what his family has done with the team since he died, I’d imagine he’s been rolling in grave for years.

Well Jeanie was the idea of the show and had involvement in it so it makes sense lol

She also stabbed each of them in the back and kicked them out of the organization. What goes around comes around.

The siblings that were involved and on her side were ousted due to her actions.

So now they have no reason to not sell. They were kicked out of the organization and only had ownership shares. Might as well sell at a high price at that point.

The only reason to not sell is to keep their sister in power. The one that stabbed them in the back, and that tried to do it again this time. So no surprise here.

No, the two younger brothers never wanted to sell. She went behind their backs to get the others to cash out earlier with the sale to Walter. She needed 4 sibling votes, including hers, to sale. She didn’t want the two brothers to end up with the team because their father promised her mother he wouldn’t have children with any other woman before they divorced. Which he did and had the two brothers like 20 years later. 

She then fired all of the siblings, including the ones she got to vote for the sale, from the team as she stayed on as governor. So it looks like the rest of the family are getting their revenge from her.
