Serbia and France will play two friendly games this week as both teams prepare for the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifying window.

Game 2: France vs Serbia — August 23, Orléans
Serbia and France have a long history as two of Europe’s elite basketball nations, regularly meeting in EuroBasket, World Cup, Olympic and preparation games. Both countries have produced generations of NBA and EuroLeague talent, and their matchups are usually physical, tactical and close.
Serbia has traditionally relied on skilled players, playmaking and half-court execution, while France has often built around athleticism and defense.
Their most recent meeting before the 2024 Olympics ended with Serbia beating France 79–67 in Lyon, France. Now they meet twice again, this time with both teams preparing for the next FIBA window.
