The differences in NBA schedule are fucking minuscule compared to most other sports. 

The Sixers having like 11 back to backs instead of 12 is not a real story lmao.

An 82-game season is going to be demanding for any team. Regardless of the schedule, their year is going to come down to whether Embiid’s knees turn to dust during the playoffs.

34 prime time games is likely a big factor. Once those get slotted, they build from there. 

Sixers arena is also always booked for abiut 10 days to 2 weeks around Xmas for Disney on ice. Always makes their schedule weird because it requires a big road trip.   

Edit: and the flyers get priority since sixers only rent it. Flyers own it.  Why all the new arena stuff happened and they will be co owners of the new one.

This is a nothing issue. They’re still playing all 32 teams twice, some 3 times. Like every other NBA team. And like all Eastern teams they’re required to go on a west coast road trip.

Is the third point really an advantage?

Last two years sixers had the max back to backs I believe.

And it’s really just two extra or two less back to backs?

• Sixers play 4 west games in the 1st 24. Knicks play 2
• Knicks and Heat have the same number of B2Bs as the Sixers. So do several other teams
• Sixers had 16 B2Bs last season well above league average
• Knicks have the fewest road B2Bs in the league

You make it sound like east is easy but east might actually be scarier than the west. No west games until 18th game might be disservice for them because of all the powerhouses that has developed in the east in this off season

Given that we’ve been at or near the very top of the league in back to backs over the last few years, we earned a slightly easier schedule finally. If anything Lebron being here just means Silver maybe won’t try to fuck us over as hard as he normally does.
