The problem with this entire line of reasoning is that there was tremendous evidence she had sex AFTER her encounter with Kobe, and BEFORE her rape kit was tested.

If you are going to use an evidence to support your narrative. Use the full context.

She was questioned by the police as to why she didn’t say no to Kobe.

After third party witnesses claimed she looked fine for rest of her shift, she claimed Kobe made her clean herself up in his room. She admitted this was a lie a year after the initial investigation.

She bragged about her encounter with Kobe to tons of witnesses.

And to make things worse, a week before her scheduled criminal trial, they held a mock trial in which a third party legal expert claimed she could not keep her story together. Hence why they immediately pivoted to civil.

You ask any legal expert, lawyers to look over the evidence of this case, and almost every single one of them will tell you Kobe should’ve never been charged to begin with.

The fact that you WANT to believe someone is a rapist simply because you don’t like him, is simply some weird shit.

Despite all this evidence, Kobe settled because he doesn’t want his private life being scrutinized in court while continuously going back and forth between trials.. most attorneys would agree this was the correct move. Regardless of guilt, you never want to put your career in jeopardy over a civil case.

I’m not a Lin stan/hater, Laker stan/hater, or Kobe stan/hater… so I feel like I had a pretty objective view of the Lin/Kobe situation.

To me, it was an unequivocal unadulterated black mark on Kobe’s record as a teammate. If you watch the times where Jeremy has actually spoken about how it went down firsthand, it was absolutely not “blown way out of proportion.” If anything, I think it’s been minimized and dismissed just how horribly shitty Kobe acted towards him. Blaming that on Lin’s “stans” is totally ridiculous.

Smush was a clown, so his situation was whatever. But Lin by all accounts has always been a hardworking and respectful teammate… so there’s no reason Kobe had to be a complete dick towards him.
