he’s pretty much the definition of an okay backup PG that fills in minutes when you have a hole in the roster, but isn’t really adding anything special. And he and his agent have been amazing at finding those teams and getting him to those teams. He also seems to wear out his welcome very quickly on a lot of them. It’s just amazing that he’s gotten as many sizeable multi-year contracts as he has. Usually guys like him are signing short deals year after year, which is why it was absolutely bonkers of him to turn down that 4-year deal with LAL.

He’s the type of player that plays for a lot of teams. He’s good enough to help you, but not so good you won’t trade or not resign him to get someone better. Sam Cassell is another example of a player like that.
