In late summer many of us are being attacked by mosquitoes so I figured it would be interesting to rank all NBA teams by the strength of their resistance to mosquitoes (most to least). Here are the results:

Suns - The Sun would vaporise a mosquito if it got too close, providing ultimate resistance

Heat - Mosquitoes enjoy some heat but enough of it will fry them like the Sun would

Nets - A net can be used to capture mosquitoes, which is a strong form of resistance

Magic - The concept of magic is impervious to mosquitoes and could potentially even be used to damage them

Hornets - Mosquitoes don’t bite hornets and in fact hornets may occasionally hunt mosquitoes

Rockets - Rockets have famously hard exteriors which mosquitoes would struggle to breach

Spurs - Spurs are normally made of metal which is very resistant to mosquitoes

Pistons - See Spurs

Clippers - A clipper is a type of boat and is not something a mosquito would tend to enjoy

Thunder - The sound of enough mosquitoes could start to drown out thunder but it would need a lot of them

Nuggets - Chicken nuggets are delicious but unfortunately mosquitoes do not have conventional mouths to eat solid food

Pacers - I don’t know what a pacer is

Jazz - Mosquitoes do not typically listen to music but their buzzing can drown it out

Trail Blazers - Trail blazers can be bitten but have likely developed some amount of tolerance from their time on the trails

Wizards - Unlike magic, wizards are perfectly able to get bitten, but they may be able to use some spells to ward the mosquitoes off

Grizzlies - Grizzlies can be bitten although their thick fur offers decent protection

Raptors - As we all learned from Jurassic Park, mosquitoes were biting dinosaurs many years ago too, but again their thick skin may help protect them

Timberwolves - All types of wolves are vulnerable to mosquito bites

Hawks - Mosquitoes can bite hawks, which are unfortunately susceptible to diseases like the West Nile virus

Pelicans - See Hawks, but pelicans probably have a larger surface area to be bitten

Kings - Kings are vulnerable but often wear long flowing robes to protect themselves and may even have an assistant to get rid of mosquitoes

Cavaliers - Cavaliers can be bitten although may not have much exposed flesh as they are wearing armour

Warriors - Similar to cavaliers, warriors may be wearing some protective armour but I would guess it would be less

Mavericks - Tom Cruise is a regular human who is vulnerable to mosquitoes

Celtics - Celtic people do not have a strong resistance to mosquitoes

76ers - I’m not sure if people in 1776 had more or less resistance to mosquitoes than today, but I’ll guess less

Knicks - Knicks are also from the past and based on the 76ers precedent we will say they had less resistance than current New Yorkers

Bulls - Bulls are quite vulnerable due to their large available surface area

Bucks - Bucks also have a high skin surface area and thinner skin than bulls do which can be breached more easily

Lakers - The lake water can actually help to breed more mosquitoes, enhancing the strength of the species and thus providing the least resistance of all the teams

In conclusion, if you are a mosquito (which is unlikely as I am not aware of any mosquitoes which are able to read English text), the best move might be to sign with the Lakers while you should certainly avoid the Suns.
