I talked to my rep and he just talked about how “everyone wants the best games” and how some of the games were better than people realized because these teams have interesting young players, had high picks in the draft, and also “will likely get to see some Mavs wins. Bro- I checked and the over/under indicates 7 of the 10 teams will have losing records, and one is a preseason game? The 10 game season pass feels like a mystery box scam at this point. 💀

They know what they’re doing. It’s the same thing as cable companies adding a fees to your bill. They hope you do t notice and just pay for it, but will refund you/replace the ticket if you call them out. If 90% of people notice, they make their target margin on them still, but they’ll make additional money on the 10% who don’t.

Pro sports season ticket are kinda terrible… trending worse.

I have a half-season package and also got a preseason game (Pelicans on October 14th) included as one of the 21 games in my plan fwiw

This did not happen last year, not in my mini weekend season game plan, 10 reg-season games. I did not renew this year, for one, my seats were decent, but the seats i wanted i could only have if I bought the half season. I decided to stick with the mini season last year. All in all it was a fun year, but imo it was a little expensive, i live in Parker (Allen) and I have to drive, so parking was \(40.00 per, dinner before the game was \)40-\(60., beers, snacks was always around a \)100.xx’ish per game plus we bout things at the Hanger, the tickets themselves were \(2600. for the season, the seats were in back of the lower bowl corner. That \)2600. Turned into about double for me, so about $6k spent for the season. Two, we had to take what they gave us, Friday games the traffic going there sucked outloud, Saturday games were OK, but Sunday was brutal as a couple of games were at noon tip off, we got lucky and won 6 of 10 iirc, we also went to the Mark A. Jersey retirement game, that was super cool, we paid extra for that game, we also got to go to the Cosom and HOB and Six Flags as part of the mini season tickets pkg. We decided this year just to go to the games we want, when we want.

Third, One of the games last year was after the iceamegeddon and one during a bad thunderstorm/flooding, those two games sucked and we had no choice but to go or miss out, I doubt we could have sold them.

That’s fucked up. I have a quarter season plan with the Celtics and they give you a preseason game extra included for 11 games total.

I was really close to buying season tickets in early 2020, then COVID obviously put those plans on hold. Then I revisited the idea in 2024 but held off since prices increased quite a bit. When Luka left it killed any and all desire to have anything to do with the team.

Write back and say you want regular season games per their own terms or a refund.

Can’t “give them a chance to address it” they will take it as “time to craft a PR narrative as to not hurt our image” better to get outraged and make them correct it.
