That game Wilt played ended up being 169-147. They were literally running up and down the court handing Wilt the ball and then not playing defense purposely to load up on points. Wilt was also 3 inches and 55lbs heavier than the largest player on the opposing team. Their starting center was out for the game and their second biggest player/center fouled out in 20 minutes. He was mostly guarded by a rookie power forward after that. The Knicks were 29-51 that year compared to the Philly Warriors 49-31 record. The Wilt game was absolutely a joke and his teammates admitted to forcing him to stay in the game to feed him the ball until he got 100pts.

That’s missing the point. The Heat were intentionally killing the clock to get Bam more possessions. Knowing Bam would continue getting fouled.
