NBA Busts You Thought Were Guaranteed Stars?
I was so certain Ben McLemore especially was going to be a monster. Also thought Justise Winslow had serious Jimmy Butler vibes coming out of Duke
To call him a bust is a little harsh, but I held on for years thinking Drummond would take the next step and be a real star.
Same. There’s no good reason he shouldn’t have been a superstar and he knows it. Idk if it was his personal life or he just didn’t love the game.
There is plenty of reasons he was never gonna be a superstar. He was a great rebounder but his offensive game sucks and was never that smart defensively. He never had superstar potential to begin with he just hit his ceiling early and was a good player. There was nothing about his game that was ever gonna make him a superstar and that’s okay
I mean if he stayed in shape and actually focused on being a play finisher who played defense rather than a post scorer I think he would have been extremely valuable
He just doesn’t have any touch to say that, his issues at scoring inside aren’t physical ones.
Yeah and he demanded post touches. I mean if he just focussed on dunks and layups created by teammates instead
Agreed. Lean into the best rebounder in the league aspect and stop trying to post score.
Yeah but he still wouldn’t have been a superstar lmao y’all realize that a super star is like a top 10 player in the NBA lmao
Yeah good point. Extremely valuable player more so I guess instead of an empty stat guy
No, what happened is he came in the league right before the stretch bigs took over. By the time he reached his prime the small ball game had taken over and any big that couldn’t shoot was forced to adapt of got kicked out the league. Faried, Harrell, Derrick Favors, and Drummond are 4 guys who would be very good to all star level players for a prolonged period had the game remained back to the basket.
There’s no good reason he shouldn’t have been a superstar
Do yall think superstars just grow on trees or some shit? He never showed superstar potential, the reason why he never turned into one was because he didn’t have the talent to do it, not because he got in his own head or something
Yeah if he had shown flashes of Zion-esque touches in the paint I could have believed it. But he was the most uncoordinated dude on the floor for the vast majority of his career lol.
lol no good reason?!? He’s not good on either end. Just a great rebounder
You could say the no good reason thing about sooooooo many players but Drummond isn’t 1 of them. I’d actually argue the opposite - that he found a niche and lucrative career for himself despite not being skilled on either end
Dude had the Ayton mentality, I remember it looked like he basically quit mid series when the Pistons played the Bucks a few years back
He came out recently that he had to change that mentality to stay in the league. He tells the new guys that they have to be fine not being the guy for the first time in their lives if they wanna continue playing/growing
I often wonder what Drummond’s career would have looked like if he’d been around 20 years earlier. Truly elite rebounder, literally in the conversation for best ever. But the rest of his skill set never quite developed. He probably had a season or two where you could legitimately call him a top-15ish player, and that was probably as good as he was going to get without ever developing a more effective offensive game.
He probably had a season or two where you could legitimately call him a top-15ish player
Absolutely not
Truly elite rebounder, literally in the conversation for best ever
His numbers are great, but he isn’t really like this at all. I remember how disappointing his rebounding was compared to his reputation. He’s a great rebounder, if you have another big to help him out with everything else.
He’s better off on the bench and going against bench bigs. I thought he’d be like old Dwight, but he’s nothing like an all time great rebounder.
Brother Andrew Drummond never even sniffed top 25
Top 15 lol. Maybe in fantasy. He could single-handedly win you rebounds
Read this as Draymond and I was so confused
He’s not a bust. He actually was pretty good for what he showed in college. But his potential was CERTAINLY much higher than he got to. So I understand.
I mean Ben McLemore is a monster, just not in the way you thought he’d be
Yeesh! 😳
Looked it up, yikes I had no idea. Hard to get that solid of a conviction, must’ve been on camera or something. Definitely a monster
Hard to get that solid of a conviction
i was an alternate on the jury so they dismissed me before deliberations. his defense team was awful. two older ladies who didn’t really seem to understand technology at all when it was pretty central to the case (cell phone records, photos, etc.). the plaintiff’s story, as well as her best friend’s, was full of inconsistencies and things that didn’t make sense. there was basically zero real evidence and it came down to him saying it was consensual and she saying it wasn’t. seeing this case up close really caused me to lose a lot of faith in our justice system.
I was so pissed that the Kings took him before the Wolves, I really liked him at Kansas.
not a complete bust but OJ MAYO
A drug bust counts right?
Kyrie is who I thought OJ Mayo would be
I remember my friend being furious about the trade because he thought we had just traded away the next Kobe. Wild times.
Speaking of ‘the next’ i need to shout out to Harold ‘baby jordan’ Miner
Uhhhh I’d call him a complete bust for a #3 (?) pick that was that highly touted out of high school
I remember hating that trade when they announced we traded him for Kevin Love. Middle school me didn’t know shit about scouting lmao.
He had one of the best high school mixtapes in the early days of YouTube. You couldn’t tell any of the hoopers in my school that OJ Mayo wouldn’t become a guaranteed MVP and scoring champ.
I thought Jabari Parker and Michael Beasley were going to be bigger than they were.
Parker had horrible luck with knees like Brandon Roy. Beasley loved the weed
He just wanted to play a bunch of bad iso balls too and never once learned how to play in a team structure. He is probably the best case of “if you watched his highlights you would think he’s a superstar but in truth he was incredibly flawed”
This was the Kuminga fallacy too. People only watched highlights and didn’t realize how bad he is
Beasley is just straight up insane
He was always that way. It’s why he picked K-State. His bag is actually limitless which is why he’s so good in 3v3. Dude just doesn’t play pro 5v5 basketball because he’s been better than everyone his whole life. Once he got to the NBA he realized he could also cook those guys 1v1 so he just never developed actual skills. One of the biggest failures of the AAU and college systems I can think of.
I think injuries is the real cause for Parker. He had the talent and I think he would have peaked and made an all star appearance but man had no healthy knees.
I still think Parker would’ve been pretty legit without those injuries. At the very least he could’ve been a very valuable piece on some of those Giannis teams
Parker refused to play defense. Even healthy, I don’t think he was gonna fit Bucks culture for their title run.
Beasley carry job at Kansas State convinced me he’d be a perennial all star
Was going to comment Beasley. He was always ultra talented but he unfortunately never matured.
Melo LeBron jr.s
Jahlil Okafor, thought he had really good post moves and footwork in college
I was a little shocked he flamed out as quick as he did. I think obviously the era of bball doesn’t fit his style and his situation with the 76ers wasn’t ideal for him to succeed either. He had no defensive skillset either which killed him
If you combined his offensive skill with nerlens Noel defensive skill as one player it would’ve been a great player. Sadly they both were lacking even though Noel lasted longer in the league.
Noel was purely a play finisher on offense, he didn’t need the ball in his hands. His job was to set screens, roll hard to the basket and finish plays if the ball came his way
Other than that it was play defense and rebound, these type of dudes can stay in the NBA quite long. Every teams needs a competent backup big
Mitchell Robinson just got paid $15 million a year to do exactly that.
The guy is just over 30. If his agent hadn’t screwed him then it’s possible he had a much different career.
Flamed out because he couldn’t defend anybody and once he got to the NBA his lack of athleticism showed a lot Dudes foot speed was garbage
archetype gets mentioned a lot, but some say he had an alcohol problem, which can be a problem attempting to solve even more problems
https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/1u9aci2/why_didnt_jahlil_okafor_pan_out/
It is also his rebounding. Enes Kanter lasted 10 years in large part because he could at least rebound.
Enes was always a nightmare offensive weapon. Terrible defensive player, but a genuine offensive delight and a great rebounder.
Jahlil couldn’t do any of that. He was an okay scorer for his size, awful rebounder.
It wasn’t even really his defense, the guy couldn’t get rebounds at all. If he was an exactly what he was but he used his size and strength and I get rebounds and box out, he would still be playing today.
His real issue, I don’t think he loved playing basketball. If he really loved it he could have put the work in to get better on defense and rebounding. Once he got that top 5 check he lost interest in the game. I’m not gonna hate on him for that.
I’ve always disagreed with the “he just played in the wrong era”
He was lazy. He didn’t want to improve his defense. If he had a real work ethic, I promise there’s a spot for a long time for a 6’11 guy who can pass well, and has enough potential to be a 12⁄8 guy every night.
He couldn’t rebound or defend. People act like he would have been something in the 1980’s. No way. Way too soft.
There were really bad centers in the 80s and 90s who lasted a long time.
Kevin Duckworth was a 2xAll Star who could not score efficiently, defend, nor rebound at a high level for a starting C. Jon Koncak got one of the largest contracts in NBA history at that time for a C who did none of those things well. Adam Keefe was a starting C on a Finals team simply because he was tall.
The 80s and 90s were a joke for centers. You literally got to play like 8 years without being good at anything. Okafor would have lasted long despite being terrible for just being tall and in theory being someone who could guard Shaq because analytics weren’t around to tell you how bad he actually was at defending.
He can’t defend shit, Okafor moves like he’s stuck in concrete. He can give you 10 points on offense just as quickly as he gives up the same or more on defense
There’s some truth to that. He would’ve lasted longer in the 80s and 90s but he wouldn’t have been that good either.
For example, Kevin Duckworth was a 2xAll Star in the 80s and 90s. He was a below average defender who never even averaged more than 0.6 BPG (a horrible number for a starting C) and Portland’s defense was worse when he was on the floor, he never averaged 50 percent FG from 2 point range so he wasn’t an efficient scorer despite being a 7 footer, and he never averaged 10 RPG so he wasn’t a dominant rebounder. That’s across all seasons in his career, even his best ones. He also averaged twice as many turnovers as assists so he really didn’t do anything that well for an All Star center.
Yet he was big so he was a counting stats 2xAll Star despite being objectively not a good player at all. Given Okafor’s rookie year, I imagine he could’ve done that in the 80s and 90s too.
This is a good one
I was so fucking high on that dude
His post moves were legit in the NBA too. The problem is that the NBA stopped caring about post moves when he came in, and he didnt rebound or play enough defense to be valuable in today’s NBA.
That post comparing him to pre-breakout Jokic with a sprinkle of Embiid discussion is such a classic
also Jabari Parker, I thought both these guys would be huge
To be fair to parker, his were largely due to injuries
Jabari might not have ever been a guy you can build around to win a championship because he was a pretty poor defender but without the injuries he would have been a 20 ppg scorer for a decade.
Okafor is a plodder. He would have been solid in another time. Jabari Parker is the one I thought would be much better than he ended up being
Zion Williamson
Zion just can’t stay healthy, he produces when he’s on the court. Him playing for the Pelicans doesn’t help either.
He was healthy last year. It’s kinda over. He doesn’t have the same effectiveness as even second year Zion
In 30 MPG last year, Zion averaged 21/6/3 on 60% from the field. Health aside which is obviously the biggest problem, I also wish he was either a good 3 point shooter or a better defensive rebounder but there is a world right now where Zion is healthy and a top 2 offensive option on a good team imo. I am not ready to say it’s over for him but he has to stay healthy which I am just not sure is possible. He also needs to get on a new team.
Edit: sorry meant to reply to other poster who said it’s over for Zion
I think if he got traded to a serious organization he could see a career renaissance. The guy is a problem when he actually plays, maybe an environment where he’s held accountable and given expectations could help me.
He was THE GUY. People were already comparing him to Charles Barkley, Zach Randolph, Shawn Kemp, and at times he still looks like that guy, but he just can’t stay healthy. Availability is the best ability.
If his body didn’t fall apart every year he legit could’ve gone down as a tier 1 rim pressuring threat ever. Between 2020 and 2023 he was averaging over 14 shots at the rim and over 9 FTAs per 75 on +7 rTS, not a massive sample size but a flash of what could’ve been
This one. I thought he was gonna be the next Shawn Kemp
He was such a huge deal at the time.
markelle 😞
In your defense, Markelle’s saga was so weird that if you played out the scenario another 9 times it probably doesn’t pan out this way and he reaches his projection of a do it all jumbo PG who makes all star teams consitently.
He really did have the worst luck mix in doctors, coaching staff, his own development needs, and situation hit him all at once.
Sixers fan here. I still feel bad for Markelle and the Philly fans were horrible to him. The doctors misdiagnosed him again and again, and took foooorever to diagnose the TOS. When he was finally diagnosed, everyone just brushed it off and stuck with “nah he’s a head case”
terms of service?
I knew it was over when he was juggling the fucking ball at the FT line and then just yeeting it at the backboard. Dude was completely lost. Huge shame cause he had it all.
Does nobody remember the HYPE Shabazz Muhammad had in HS?
It’s amazing how many of these guys in this thread wore wolves shirts
Literally almost 3 decades of fumbling talent lol
They even lost FRPs in the 2000s
Later it came out he was a full year older so it makes sense since a college freshman/near college sophomore playing high school would look a lot better. Same thing with OJ Mayo. Both of those players were extremely old as high school seniors. They were older than most college freshman while they were still in high school. They were basically the age of a college sophomore/near college junior at the time of the draft despite being called freshman by class year.
Now, teams use analytics and have figured out age adjusted production as one of the best statistics to evaluate players which is why age has become even more important criteria in drafting players. You still get a few older players who do well but pretty much all players who become stars in the last 10 years have been freshman aged players at the time of the draft.
Was thinking of him as well.
Highlights from the game where he dropped 35 vs the 73-9 warriors and handed them their last loss of that season popped up on my feed. Dude looked like a star.
Nerlens Noel
In my house, we have a stat called the Nerl Flush, named after him, because he once had the most points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks for his team in a preseason game. Whenever a player does the same, they get a Nerl Flush—or an “outright Nerl” if they don’t even tie in any category.
It must be a true honor for players like Jokic, Giannis, and Wemby to earn so many Nerls.
The name of the stat has lasted much longer than his career did.
amazing
This is tinfoil hat thinking but I think he’s a low level all star if he gets drafted almost anywhere else than where he got drafted
If the pelicans were able to trade a different 1st for Jrue, I think his career looks significantly different than what it ended up becoming. The defense of AD and Jrue with a natural rim protecting center would have elite, at least compared to having Asik. Also maybe Eric Gordon doesn’t pout as much lol.
He’s only 32! There’s still time!
Not a bust but Andrew Wiggins, still a good career tho, was great in that 2022 run but man the hype he had around his draft year was crazy.
Was looking for this one. His HS mixtape was crazy. I thought he’d be the next LeBron.
“Maple Jordan”
Though his hype had started to dip already by draft time; I remember many people being higher on Embiid despite his rawness.
Riggin for Wiggin!
tbf a lot of the hype was died by the time he made the nba. he wasnt even going to be the 1st overall pick b4 embiid broke his foot
When the Cavs won the lottery, everyone in Cleveland was excited for Wiggins
yea like he was still projected 1st pick but that was the lingering status from how crazy his hype was lol. he had an alright season at kansas but no one really thought he was going to be the next jordan anymore. david griffin publicly said embiid was going to be the 1st pick
like zion was way more hyped coming into the league cuz his hype built from his college season, wiggins probably had the same amount of hype of it all stemmed from him as a hs prospect
Not a bust as per sec but I expected Ricky Rubio to be better
I think his inability to reach his potential was more due to injuries than just not being able to play in the league.
He just really couldn’t shoot. If he had just been able to add a serviceable mid range jumper he would have improved immensely but never really could. Even still, his teams always performed better when he was on the floor than when off - though we normally had pretty terrible replacements
Me a Kings fan, would always tell my buddy, a Warriors fan, that WCS would be an amazing guy in their offense because the lobs from Steph would have feed entire generations.
I feel like this is true for a lot of players that get considered a bust
Luka is who people thought Ricky would be.
I truly thought Wiseman would form the craziest PnR duo in the league with steph
I thought Steph/Wise lobs would feed Dubs fans for years lol
I highly suspected he would be a bust for no reason but the 2nd pick curse for high upside bigs like Darko & Thabeet. It really wasn’t rational, but I was not surprised at all when he was disappointing.
And Sam Bowie…😔
Yeah Wiseman busting is the biggest, non-surprise ever. Dude barely played in college.
This dude was being considered 2nd pick, based on vibes.
Every time this comes up I will talk about how Derrik Williams looked like a STAR in college. Too fast for bigs. Too big for wings. He shot 51% from 3 in college, taking nearly 2 per game his sophomore year.
Apparently he had some significant off court issues holding him back.
He was also too short for his position. March madness god however.
As a Lakers fan, meh. As a Wildcat alum, lol, fuck Duke.
Too fast for bigs. Too big for wings
Only in college though
In the NBA he couldn’t guard bigs and was too slow to guard wings. His 3pt shot also completely vanished, so now he was a tweener who couldn’t shoot or defend.
Tweeners always bust
Yup. Steph, Barkley, Wade, Shawn Marion, Paul Millsap, Boris Diaw, all busts.
Not a bust but Tyreke Evans’ rookie season had me thinking he was going to be a star. 20/5/5 as a rookie has only been achieved by Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Tyreke Evans.
To be fair he would’ve been had he been drafted in the modern NBA and allowed to keep playing PG instead of being moved to SF for no reason
I believe to this day that the Kings fucked him up
Absolutely. A core of Tyreke continuing to play PG with Marcus Thorton at the 2 and Demarcus Cousins could have been really good
Not just the Kings, but I do wonder how many players were fucked over due to bad development. Neemias Queta is a recent example for my Celtics. Kings give up on him after a couple years, but in two years with the Cs he looks like at minimum a competent backup if not decent starting center. It does beg the question how many elite role players or even genuine superstars could’ve been if for better coaching? Maybe a silly hypothetically inherently, but it makes for fun lines of questioning around guys like Darko, Bennett, etc.
Dennis Smith Jr.
same, i was convinced he had a next step in him. improved his defense a lot though!
I thought Dante Exum was gonna be great
Evan Turner
Adam Morrison
I didn’t think Morrison was a sure star, but it was insane how fucking bad he was in the NBA. Like, worst player in the league bad. What a fucking disaster.
Perry Jones III
Jabari Parker
Mo Bamba. Him and Ben Simmons are why I never trust workout videos against no defense anymore.
See him raining threes with no defense and record wing span, I thought he’d be a better Rudy Gobert. But you watch him, and very quickly see a low motor and bad BBIQ. I don’t know how the Magic didn’t see that at the Combine. You see it right away when he plays in games.
Emmanuel Mudiay - I think most nugget fans feel the same way
Was a dawg in my 2k16 mycareer though
Notice nobody here says Hasheem Thabeet. Fucking idiotic 2000s Grizzlies front office.
Marvin Bagley
I was so certain Darius Miles was gonna have T-Mac’s career arc
Justise had a short stint with the Blazers where he just looked.. good. Like exactly what he should have been. Then an ankle injury kept him out so long he just faded away into the D league.
I remember being real excited about Morris Almond lmao
I genuinely felt Frank Ntilikina could have been an all-star
There were many who dreamt of his success
Admittedly a Jayhawk fan, but I was CERTAIN Thomas Robinson was gonna take the league by storm after that 2012 run at KU.
Caleb Swanigan. RIP to him.
Cant really call someone picked 26th a bust.
There were 3 games where I thought Perry Jones III was the next KD.
Josh Jackson
I thought Rudy Fernandez would be a household name
Speaking of euros i was certain on mario hezonja
Agree with quite a few already mentioned, but I thought Derrick Williams was gonna get to the league and DOMINATE
I really thought Willie Cauley-Stein was going to be a problem. 10 years before he might have been.
Derrick Williams was lights out at Arizona.
In the pros? Not so much.
Harold Miner. His nickname was Baby Jordan. The nickname probably doomed him.
Came here to post this (because we both are Old, don’t forget to take your ibuprofen) and was about to say “But his knees went bust which made him go bust.”
Sebastian Telfair, I thought he was going to be the next Blazer All Star.
Dennis smith jr. and Kevin Knox, I was also half sure on Thon Maker and Bol Bol
Mario Hezonja, the highlight tape is unreal from pre draft. All the athletic gifts, and could shoot.
Still feel like that awful Scott Skiles fucked him up and ruined his confidence.
LeBron block and dunking on Giannis are some elite plays though.
He has some flashes, but yeah I don’t know that any coach was gonna turn him into a star
Star is definitely strong, I just think he needed to be allowed to make more mistakes. One bad play and he was straight to the bench, on like a 20 win team lol. Like you guys (Magic) suck, let the kid play and see what happens. Not like it could have been much worse for the team.
I think he could have been a better rotation player for longer, maybe top 7 player on a good playoff team. JR Smith style.
Let’s see how he does now. He’s been a key player for Real Madrid. So I’m sure he’s grown a lot.
Dennis Smith Jr
I remember McLemore was being compared to Ray Allen a lot back then.
Does Oden count in the bust territory? His circumstances feel more like he was robbed of the opportunity to become great instead of just being bad. I remember there was a bit on NBA TV where he was talking to Bill Russel, the NBA was really banking on him to be the next great big and I was sold he was going to be.
Right! I remember they were talking about McLemore like Ray Allen. Dude was more like Allan Ray.
I’d say Oden counts but yeah like you said, he was primed for success but the injuries fucked him over. In another timeline, that Portland team with him and Brandon Roy could’ve went far.
Jonny Flynn
Yeah, I thought he would be the best one out of all the PGs the wolves took that year.
Don’t know about star, but I thought Killian Hayes was going to be a starting caliber NBA point guard.
I think for me, the player I’ve been the most shocked was a total bust was Justise Winslow. I never thought he’d be a superstar, but I thought he was 100% going to have a 13 year career as a high level starter/role guy.
I thought Thomas Robinson would be a star based off his physique and motor alone
Porzingis. Every time I see him play I still get some hope.
He’s had a very solid career. Not the right thred for him.
Far from a bust.
MCW literally peaked during his 1st game and I thought he was the next big star. Mostly downhill from there, sadly
James Wiseman 😭
Greg Oden.
I was so sure he’d lead Blazers to at least 1 title.
I know he’s not really a bust standard meaning, but injuries are an important part of an NBA career. So to me he’s a bust.
OJ
Michael Beasley Tyrese Evans Adam Morrison Cam Reddish
McCants, Mayo, Beasley, Ellis (he had a solid career but I thought he was going to be great. Not drafted high so may not fall under this category but after seeing the potential in the pros I really thought he was going to make more of a mark).
Maybe I’m a dummy but I thought Reece Gaines was going to be good. Drafted number 15 so not all that high in others eyes but I was high on him.
Injury/sickness ‘busts’: Dajuan Wagner, Dermarr Johnson (not sure if he would’ve panned out or not but neck injury assured he didn’t).
Cam Reddish had all the physical tools and athleticism to be a top level wing. Just couldn’t develop a useful skillset
I still don’t quite get what happened with Ben McLemore.
He didn’t have injuries (played all 82 games in each of his first 2 seasons), had an NBA body and athleticism, and got plenty of opportunity and minutes, but just seemed to drift in and out of the rotation and in and out of games, and had a weirdly small offensive role for a guy who was drafted to be a shooter and scorer (granted, the shooting never quite seemed as good as expected). What exactly went wrong? I feel like “LOL, Kings” is just too simple an explanation.
Also, am I remembering wrong or completely imagining this, or was McLemore advertised as being like 6’5”, 210-215lbs during his college year and early in the draft process, only to suddenly turn out to be 6’3”, 195lbs, and not really have any PG skills to make up for the lack of size?
I get the feeling that Anthony Edwards is having the career people expected of McLemore right now, given their starting points and athletic profile and demeanour.
Emmanuel mudiay looked like a star to me.
Roy Tarpley… if he wasn’t addicted to drugs his career would have had a floor of Kevin Willis and ceiling of Karl Malone / Barkley
DeAndre Ayton aka kitten lips.
Royce White
I thought Derrick Williams was gonna set the world on fire.
When the Wolves drafted Derrick Williams, I thought he was gonna be a beast at the 3. Like this guy was a legit beast in Arizona, could shoot the 3 and do everything. Little did I know that he was one of those “tweaners” like Anthony Bennett and Thomas Robinson. Dudes who dominated in college because of their size and athleticism at the 4 but are too small in the NBA.
Not saying Scoot Henderson is a bust (yet), but I had high expectations for him to have an immediate impact in the league and he’s definitely not there yet. Torn hamstring taking him out for half of last season didn’t help.
Blazers have too many guards now so he just slid further down the bench this offseason. A trade is his best chance to start over and prove himself.
Tyreke Evans
Zion had all the tools to be excellent, he’s not a “bust” exactly, but a huge disappointment cause he had top 5 in the world potential.
some solid careers here but more was expected from these guys
John Wallace
Jacque Vaughn
Ed Obanon
Tim Thomas
JR Reid
Ron Mercer
Ben Simmons
I thought Frank Ntilikina would at the very least become a solid starter because he came into the league as a plus defender and ok playmaker so all he had to do was learn how to shoot
Other than that little moment with LeBron he didn’t really do much
Xavier Henry and Tony Wroten
I was tracking Thon Maker in highschool. I thought he was going to be a KG/KD hybrid. Nope.
Ben Simmons. How has he not come up yet?!
Danny Ferry
Thought he was bird 2.0
Wrong😂
Cam Reddish. I’ve heard plenty of story’s from current nba stars that says he’s crazy good in private runs and he has somewhat of a monicure for being a underground star outside of real game on court production
