Wanted to see a thunder Cavs finals so this absolutely sucked to watch in person

As a guy who has an unhealthy passion for watching Russell Westbrook play basketball, especially at that time, this was by far one of the most painful moments in my sports TV watching history. And with each of the seven three-pointers Klay Thompson hit in the second half it was like twisting the knife.
The Thunder had that series won and I have no doubt they would’ve won the championship that year cementing Westbrook’s legacy as one of the all-time greats. (And yes I know that Golden State lost to LeBron and the Cavs in the finals that year.)
Instead, Klay went on the heater of heaters and crushed the heart of the Thunder fans and every basketball fan outside of Northern California in one of the most amazing shooting performances the game has ever seen.
AND… it inspired KD to leave Oklahoma City for Golden State in the ultimate “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” move.
