I really like the Sin City Sevens/7s. It just rolls off the tongue and plays nicely with the whole gambling thing that the league is going for. I know that OP is trying to steer away from the whole casino shtick but, for better or worse, that’s what Vegas is known for. They built a city in the middle of the desert because of casinos so they can’t really get away from it.

Other than that, I can see them going for the Jacks or maybe even the Vipers. Honestly, the best name was the Aces but that’s taken so it is what it is.

Before it became a gambling Mecca, Vegas was an important stop on the journey west for pioneers. The main street in Vegas, Fremont Street where all of the original casinos would be built before The Strip, was named after one of these pioneers, John Fremont, who helped build the popularity of the town in the early days. The Pioneer Club was one of the early casinos with its iconic Vegas Vic giant neon cowboy sign.

Atomics/Nukes-Las Vegas is also known as the “Atomic City” due to its proximity to the Nevada Test Site Nuclear Site (watching the Mushroom Clouds was actually advertised as a tourist attraction), good unexplored section of city history. Colors could either be yellow/gold and black, or yellow/gold and Magenta, the colors normally found on Radiation Symbols. Lot of play as well with logos with Radiation/Nuclear Bomb themes.

Ignite-The former Los Vegas-based G-League team, with colors of purple, black, and white. Resurrect an already known brandwith Vegas connections.

Aliens/Greys-Los Vegas is the closet Metro to Area 51, so lot of potential logo and mascot ideas. Colors could be Green and Black/grey

The problem is Vegas only exists as a tourist attraction with gambling and cat houses. Like a lot of places can say, “there’s more to us than just that” but it’s not like there’s a rich history or culture to Vegas. The mob built a city for gambling, that’s the story.
