Steph’s ridiculous bounce pass alley-oop to Giannis during 2019 All-Star game
As much as I wish the all star game was competitive, you cant deny we see some really fucking cool highlights. I mean when/where else would we ever see a Chef Curry to Greek Freak lob.
according to every fraud reporter and delusional fan we were gonna see curry to giannis lobs😂
That’s magic Mike and GOAT Lacob for you
Jokic is the next big fish we’re gonna spend the rest of Stephs career trying to pair.
Warriors offers only protected picks, so I dunno why teams aren’t making a deal yet
Warriors award winning PR team earning their title
I think it was KD who called it out, the big leads are a big issue. It’s always been fun and games until the 4th but if mfs are taking and making open 40ft 3s and it’s already out of reach, mfs are gonna make business decisions lol.
Even in those shorter games (the last 2 years? Idk lol), once that gap is there, it’s a wrap.
I had the meme idea of having part of the game or the whole game swap the scoring zones, so behind the 3pt line is worth 2 and vice versa, forcing more action inside.
So far, I got 0 people on board 🤣
It was competitive last time around. Hope that sticks
Vince self oop is an iconic moment of my teenage years.
the 2020 all-star game (which i actually watched yesterday) had a good mix of both (chris paul caught a nasty fucking lob for a slam, it was awesome) but i can’t deny that the highlights become so much nastier when the game goes out of reach
Insanity. Not only shows you how amazing Steph is, for Giannis to be able to time it and make it look easy was top tier.
The more I watch it, the more impressed I am.
Like, I’m all the way amaze to the point of being impressed with the capabilities of human beings 🤣🤣🤣
No thought, no prep, pass is perfect, strength pushing it down, the angle it has to take, where it has to end up.
The jump is perfect, no need to adjust steps or speed really, ball in hand at the apex of the jump.
Like, I see why we were the apex predators with mfs like this running around 😂
Imagine a Steph like hunter gatherer just pinging rocks off the head of a water buffalo, just one shotting those mfs from 17 fallen trees away 🤣
Idk how I got here, but I had to share
Bruh lol If you could jump 36” and were 7’ tall you could do this too hahaÂ
That’s just the thing. Being 7 foot doesnt guarantee anything especially athleticism and precision timing. This is called skill my friend and even if you were 7 foot tall, it would take you years to master this.
I’m just sad Steph never got to play with any really ultra athletic teammates
I’m sad he never got to play with a legit star lob threat. Javale McGee is literally the best lob threat he played with. Imagine him next to healthy AD or something 😳
I was so excited for Steph/Wiseman lobs when we drafted Wise, but we all know how that turned out lmao ðŸ˜
JaVale McGee is as athletic as it gets, dude has stupid hops and is extremely quick for his size. He just has asthma, negative BBIQ and no skills so he’s not that good. Just as a lob threat though, man was crazy.
Igoudala
We both saw what LeBron did to him. That was not prime Iggy.
I didn’t say prime iggy. I said ultra athletic. Also kuminga is ultra athletic
I mean it’s the all star game lol. He had plenty of time to camp out there and wait for it to come down.
You should check out any all star game with Jason Kidd.
I never loved Jason Kidd, but he was the ultimate All Star game PG.
The games were slightly more serious and then the 4th quarters got better back in the day.
But JKidd looked like AND1 mixtape with NbA finishers. Go down the rabbit hole!!!
absolute filth
Threw a lob to MJ, Kobe, Duncan, Bron and I’m sure I missed about a dozen other all timers. What a great video, I miss when there was some competitiveness.
That left handed no look scoop Alley oop was ridiculous
Him, MJ and AI were my idols back then. Always a must watch.
Kidd is who got me into the sport, he was amazing to watch
Thank you for this !
He was the GOAT “go get it” lob passer. Would purposely throw it a little beyond their reach to force dunkers do something spectacular. Kinda like the Steph and Giannis clip.
With no other player was this more true than the short time he played with VC. It’ll look like a lot of bad passes that Vince turned into incredible dunks, but that was entirely by design by Kidd.
With players with at least 7K assists, he had the 5 highest assist-turnover ratio. So while doing the spectacular, also incredibly efficient. One of the best PGs to ever play the game.
It’s a shame Steph never had an elite big in his career. A force like Giannis and Steph seems like a match made in heaven but we never got to see him play with a dominant inside force like that. Ad would have been cool as well even like an Aaron Gordon or Obi Toppin type player. It just seems like he never got to be with a high flyer like that. Maybe Javelle was the closest thing and it worked well but someone with more skill would have been amazing
This is the exact reason I’ve been dreaming of Anthony Davis on our team for years ðŸ˜. Steph deserves to play with an elite lob threat and mobile big man for once. As you said, Javale was the closest, but Steph never got to play with a true star big. It’s one of my biggest “what ifs” in the post-KD era.
Curry on the globetrotters would be insane
Curry on [insert basketball team here] would be insane
Curry on [rice] would be insane
If I tried making this pass I’m uppercutting myself in the chin
Had me wondering if Steph was traded to Miami
Heat Culture Steph
Question: if a player is standing beyond the 3 point line, and bounces the ball into the basket, is it worth 2 points or 3 points?
Probably depends on where the bounce occurred
I think it would depend on whether it’s ruled a field goal attempt or not. To get 3 points it must be a successful “field goal attempt” from beyond the arc. A field goal attempt must be an actual attempt to score a basket.
So it would probably be a subjective ruling of whether the player was trying to score a basket with that bounce.
I love how you can see KD processing all this as it goes down; he goes from ‘I’m think I’m kinda gonna try to stop Steph here…’ to ‘Ahhh fuck…. well shit.’ real fast lol
Genuinely insane play though
Then just stares at the rim trying to process what just happened.
the disrespect to john wall to blake griffin from the 3pt line
I always liked this one from John Wall to Blake Griffin
https://youtu.be/yX4BN-uiXM0?si=NKBjKL2Vr5dsvdDk
yeah, this one’s better
I know this isn’t happening, and I’m not trying to say it should happen, but…
Steph in Miami would go hard 🤣
So hard Riley would make the damn cookies himself for Steph.
This is easy
Even when thinking Giannis was gonna’ be with us forever lol, that pass was fucking insane.
Embiid 100% wanted that
It was absolutely Embiid’s ball, Giannis just didnt see it
I’m not sure there are quite enough angles of it in this clip….
Would a prime Steph and Giannis be the best duo in NBA history? Not exaggerating, literally better than any other hypothetical pairing.
Steph and Lebron?
the amount of times I tried this with the boys
One of my favorite plays ever. Executed perfectly by both guys. I think that also started the “those two guys should play together” talk that has only recently died down.
Zeke did this pass on a regular ….
This being in the all star game takes all the aura out of it imo
