I’m pretty sure Steph had 42 points in this game and looked like a future superstar, until stagnating the next season as Keith ‘Not So’ Smart ran the entire offense through Monta Ellis and kept benching Steph for Acie Law in 4th quarters because Steph’s turnovers drove him crazy.
That and Stephs bum ankles but yeah. Monta was analytics nerds public enemy number one back then.

One of the greatest coaches of all time and a real one, RIP. If this was his last game it was a rather fitting way to end his wild career (sending off a team on its way to a potential dynasty and a team that was supposed to be that dynasty).
