Nobody questions keeping picks when the picks hit. The draft is one of the only ways to get a player below his market price. The Warriors were smart to keep their lottery picks. They just didn’t identify the right players.

Curry has only said he would play for two teams. The Warriors and the Hornets. I’m not saying he couldn’t play for any other team, but I’m guessing his time on a competitive roster is over

I don’t get why people think the Warriors should be a contending team every year. Every team is going to an experience mediocrity when they’ve been contenders for 10+ years. Curry understands this and also understands the Jimmy/Moody injuries were a huge setback which limits on what the front office can reasonably do. He’s not requesting any trade and from previous reports it sounds like he will sign the 137mil 2 year extension which he can’t get from any other team.

Steph has the right to do anything he wants and we’ll fully support him. And he also has loyalty to this city and fanbase, and it’s mutual.

Everyone’s now gotten used to players like LeBron only wanting to play for a contender rather than sticking the course to end an incredible career. Assets don’t just grow on trees and dynasties almost always come to an unremarkable end.

They fleeced the Wolves for Wiggins AND a lottery pick for D’Lo. Wiggs was their 2nd or 3rd best player for that championship run (within five years!!). You don’t think the bball moves (signing Porter, GPII, managing Draymond and Klay’s injuries that year) affected their championship equity?

Even after that run, they made two WCSF after that season (one after getting Jimmy Butler for cheap if you look at what superstars have been going for). The Hornets and Kings haven’t even been in the 2nd round since the 2000s.

The time to build around Curry is when you had a 2 to trade and a year later a 7 to trade. The next best time was when Kuminga still had value. Instead Lacob stubbornly insisted on JK and in doing so allowed his value to tank.

Now they have a roster where $150 million is going to Curry, Butler and Draymond. They have no moves to make, they’re completely handcuffed.

the following season almost everyone is coming off the books. If someone is going to happen it will be then. Maybe everyone will sign Lebron type vet mins and we can land a huge aging former all star like Westbrook 🤞

They also could have beaten the package Giannis got for the bucks. I know Giannis doesn’t think he wanted to be there, but after a year living in the Bay Area and playing with curry I’d bet good money he changes his mind.

Probably a play-in exit again. At best they lose in the first round but I mainly expect them to lose in the play-in. Wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t even make the play-in with the significant improvement of the west now.

Steph only played like 40 games last year tho

I think ppl are underrating the dubs. You could argue porzingis is also new. He didnt play much last year for the dubs. If he can play 60 games, big if, but he could be a difference maker. Him and yaxel could really boost this team, and if all healthy when jimmy comes back, this is a good squad. Gui santos showed he’s a good rotation player in 2nd half last year also.

Yeah I understand why no one wants him to leave but it’s really dissapointing to see when Curry is so clearly capable of being incredible with a real contender and its just being wasted on at this point, sentiment. One team for life is cool but he’s not an old yeller, he’s not just there for the feel good retirement years he’s too good for that.
