A childhood friend of mine started balding when he was around 16⁄17 and I witnessed how depressed he was when he realized that there’s nothing he could do to stop it. That was almost 20 years ago and I sometimes still think about the mocking and jokes he had to listen to back then. It wasn’t excessive or too mean spirited and my friend took extremely well. But along the way I developed a genuine fear of getting bald… I’m still good but once it starts thinning, I’m willing to spend my entire wealth on keeping my hair.
