Kobe Bryant vs rookie Damian Lillard 2013 - 47 for Kobe, 38 for Dame
Last game before the achilles tear
This was the game before kobe tore his achillies. He just had a back to back where he played 42 minutes and 48 minutes while scoring 30 then 47. He tore his Achilles the next game
Such a fuckin legendary stretched that is not brought up more in crazy nba lore
Unfortunately overshadowed by the really bad years post Achilles , then the knee surgery that toreally sapped what little athleticism Kobe had left after the Achilles tear. Bad enough the knee injury / surgery limited him to 6 games, but then he comes back next year and tears his rotator cuff 35 games into the season… which pretty much was the end. Was sad to see Kobe like that
Should bookend this with Dame scoring 48 during the Kobe and Gigi tribute game.

Kobe’s last truly great game.
Dame had a fun rookie season.
2013 kobe was insane mvp lvl. Seeing him those playoffs wouldve been a fuckin treat we got robbed of
Im still so sad LMA couldn’t put aside his ego.
14⁄7 in the first quarter for Dame as a rookie. Was so obvious dude was gonna be a star. He just needed to be patient.
Dame/Wes/Batum/LMA/RoLo with CJ off the bench? Sheesh
you can see how hard Kobe is working that game. He was carrying the team, no wonder he tore the achilles
