In 2017, Andrew Bogut played a total of 58 seconds for the Cleveland Cavaliers before fracturing his left tibia. He was waived shortly after
With the Bucks, he was playing great up until he injured is arm on a fall after a dunk I believe
yeah he was pushed from behind while dunking. he got all-NBA that year
People forget how nasty bogut was
he looked on his way to finally living up to being drafted #1 and the injuries completely derailed his offensive game. was still nasty defensively after it though.
In more ways than one
Leonard will never forget
That would be Zaza, not Bogut.
🙀my b.
Big ugly white guy. Not that big of a mistake.
Amareeee
The “Fear the Deer” year, back when Bucks fans didn’t have Giannis as their franchise guy. Relied on Bogut having a career year and a rookie Brandon Jennings, among other things.
He had a breakaway dunk and Amare pushed him mid air.
Do not watch that video.

Now go watch Shaun Livingston’s knee injury. 🤮
Only worse injury video I can think of from basketball was Kevin Ware. I don’t think I need to tell anybody but ABSOLUTELY do not look it up if you haven’t seen it.
I mean, PG had the same exact injury as Ware. Even still I think Livingston’s is worse
Let’s throw in PG’s for the triple feature
I know PGs is more dangerous as you can die from a compound fracture, but Livingston’s is just so much more devastating to me. Both make me want to vomit
livingston almost had to have his leg amputated
Fucking disgusting man….Stomach went through the floor watching it live.
That said, he has a chip with Golden State
One of the worst things I’ve ever seen watching a game live. I really thought him and Jennings were gonna be the next elite duo in the league.
The crowd was furious
I can’t blame him for losing his game after that injury. Wouldn’t wish that one on anyone.
He really wasn’t the same after he left the Bucks
Definitely not the same player, but still an elite defender, screen setter, and passer for his position. He was big for those Warriors teams.
This is not a complaint but he set the best illegal screens for Steph
Pretty sure he even admitted it after he was out of the league and was laughing about it like “hell yeah those were illegal screens, but they weren’t calling them so we weren’t going to stop doing them.”
Yeah, for salty clicks
I’m pretty sure a careful analysis would reveal that every screen ever set for Steph by anyone in a Warriors jersey was illegal.
He was so good as a passing hub in the center of the offense. Also he was a quality lob threat even though the rest of his scoring game was cooked after the injury.
He was great for the Warriors until he wasn’t. He was a big part of the 15 championship and probably could have prevented the collapse in 16 if he was healthy. Andy Varejao was basically a Cavs sleeper agent that series.
varejao and ezeli as our bigs on that team was gross
I remember when the Warriors got off to their hot start in 2014-15, I was holding my breath about his health more than I was Curry’s.
Pension secured 🔒
Andrew and his wife have 2 sons. Nikola and Luka
His son Luka was born two years before Doncic was drafted and his son Nikola was born before Jokic became an All Star. The man is a prophet!
Same year as Gordon Hayward injury. Wild
Warriors would have won the 2016 finals had he not gotten injured.
That’s super sad and cruel but luckily Andrew still played for Golden State and the Lakers after this injury in terms of very limited minutes.
After that he went back to Australia to play in the NBL.
Is this the lowest amount of playing time for a single team of any player ever who had a multi-year career? That is, has anyone had a long career for multiple teams, but for one of those teams played less than this?
could a healthy Bogut make the difference in the 2017 finals?
He would’ve in 2016
You mean 2016, and yes.
I meant 2017 as a Cavs player
Then no, lol.
2017 cavs got utterly blown out of the water.
How healthy? He was already badly injured/diminished before he even went to GSW. Bucks Bogut would have made a big difference but not this one even if he didn’t break his leg.
We coulda used his illegal screens
58 secs no fucking way, always see Bogut as a part of hater filled post in fb, yt etc. “lebron played with the most no.1 pick of all time” to downplay lebron even though majority of them played with him when they were beyond wash like Drose or just proven to be not no.1 pick material talent like Ayton.
But this is just insane, ig that’s why I’m always confused when i see Bogut on those post.
Too bad man
Bogut and I passed each other while crossing the street in downtown Houston during All-Star Weekend ‘06. I told him “nice shirt” and he said “thanks, mate”. Never saw him again. Don’t remember anything about the shirt.
Couldn’t have happened to a better guy
Blur the thumbnail brother, not everyone is trying to see his bent ankle on their feed
Can’t even tell it’s an injury from the thumbnail bro.
What a dogshit draft outside of CP3
Nephew. That draft had multiple all star and all nba players.
Every draft has multiple all stars and all NBA by the time the entire draft class is retired
