Win shares are also pretty cool because they are the only all-in-one stat that there is data from all the way back in the 1940s for.

Win shares aren’t an advanced stat, they’re a box score metric, this is like calling points an advanced stat

Most of them are better than Win Shares which were consigned to the bin 10 years ago by serious analytic people

Yeah, it’s the only one with all 3 of Robinson, Parker, and Manu, but none of them were even top 25 that particular season.

He’s top 5 for a reason

Duncan had maybe his best year and maybe the best player that year. But they won games off team defense. Not duncans offensive carry. He just happened to be the only great offensive player with 2 soon to be star offensive talents.  But it was most def a defensive team first and guys like bowen stack manu malik and even robinson had good defense even at that point of his career. Hakeem was a carry job. Not to mention the teams both teams played. Tims all time ranking is mostly result of his longevity of winning not casue he carried his teams…

PRIME KD joining a 73-9 team who he choked against is very much different then a 41 year old LeBron joining a team that got swept in the second round 😭. If Bron went and joined a bad team yall would accuse him of stat padding anyway so just let him play.

Even if you think that LeBron has made some weak, ring-chasing moves throughout his career, there’s a clear qualitative difference between his moves and KD going to the Warriors.

People are downvoting you but I’ve seen way too much sentiment that there’s nothing wrong with ring chasing now that LeBron’s made his latest move.

It doesn’t have to be apples to apples, what KD did was obviously worse, but the people coming out of the woodwork to suddenly defend ring chasing has been nuts. I’ve seen a lot of people go as far as saying that KD’s decision to join the warriors was valid

LeBron had a terrible career in LA. It was almost as bad as the 90s. Lucky he snuck one in the bubble. To be considered an all-time great Laker you would at least have to be Jerry West level. Which he wasn’t. LeBron messed it up when he pushed for Westbrook.

I mean let’s be honest. If Kobe was gifted AD we’d expect 2 or 3 championships. Lebron only could get one. Seeing as Kobe won 2 out of 3 with Pau. Pau isn’t even close to as good as AD.

So yeah. Lebron’s stint in LA sucked. Glad it’s over. His stans are annoying as hell. Plus the circus. Just for a guy who couldn’t even compete 90% of the time.

LeBron is not even a top 5 Laker (Magic, Kareem, Shaq, Kobe, and West clear easily) and had the most disappointing tenure with the team of any all-time great in the last 50 years.

What is your actual argument? Try to make one without whining about some supposed bias. Are you telling me they didn’t feast in that series because that claim is laughably false. Turkolgu and Lewis were both over the seasons averages for points… in a playoff series against the supposed #3 defense in the league. Turkoglu had the best assist numbers of his life and dominated the fourth quarters in that series. LeBon was on Lewis for most of that series and his eFG% was 10% above his regular season numbers.

Just a bizarre response. The entire Cavs front court got roasted. There is no legitimate dispute to that claim. My bias is towards the facts.
