If he wasn’t getting paid as much he could easily be traded but the contract is a lot to eat if you’re reading for him.

Yeah he’s at a point where he is worth more than a minimum but less than his current deal, so he basically needs to get bought out or traded for even worse salary if the Mavs want to get something for him.

I think the Mavs have too many players and he seems to be a prime buyout candidate. They might hold on to him long enough to see if a buyer materializes but my guess is they’ll buy him out once it’s closer to training camp.
