[Highlight] Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s only career 3PM
He could’ve developed a decent 3, but the skyhook made him incredibly effective from the post
I dont think he would’ve been a volume shooter even if he had a 3 ball, but just having a stretch 5 helps out a lot, it pulls the opposing center out of the paint removing rim protection and defense rebounding. Knicks did this against wemby in KAT’s minutes this year’s finals.
Imagine a world where defenses have to guard 28-foot skyhooks off pick-and-rolls. Pace-and-space era Kareem would be disgusting.
Chick Hearn, miss that man
But yeah, Kareem had great touch, I wouldn’t be surprised if he came up in the modern era if he had a 3pt shot. Frankly I think Wemby is basically what a modern Kareem would be.
As if we needed more proof dude was a bum he only made one three. Dude sucks
The pure, unscripted joy and disbelief in the commentators makes the clip 100x better.
Back when men were men and centers stayed in the paint, what happened to the Kareem’s of the world? The strong silent type
There was no denying it, he was hot from the outside.
I dunno why, but I’m disappointed it wasn’t a skyhook.
Weird that it took so long to figure out that 3 is 50% more than 2.
