I never really hated on KD though, everyone loved KD for quite some time, joining Golden State made sense to me, KD loves basketball on a level that many many players do not, KD cared more about the game, than legacy, money, whatever, I sincerely believe he was hostage from Westbrook ball terrorism, and saw how the Warriors were playing the right brand of basketball, really wanted to be a part of that.
Warriors had becoming one of the greatest teams of all time, but let’s be real, we all know Draymond Green and Klay Thompson were all incredible role players who elevated with the superstar rising Steph Curray, Durant joined a team with 1 real star, and two extremely great role players, often times super star teams fail IMO, they are not good, the only reason why Golden State extended dominance, and actually worked out was because, having a Batman and Robin usually is fine, if they can operate together and has fit, it just happened to be Golden State happened to have two players who commander all-star considerations because they were able to fit into a role, specialized in that role, took advantage of that role. and even bringing a guy like KD, still could perform showing the level of role players they are.
I want people to think about Klay Thompson if he was drafted to the Kings, which I think Kings took like Ben McLemore or Jimmer for, you think Klay has a career anything close? What if Draymond was drafted by the Nets or Wizards or something, you think he isn’t out of the league in 2-3 years?

No one said it was unfair flat out in the same way the warriors were, but if you were there around that time it was absolutely getting the same treatment every other KD team has, with people parading any mention of that team with comments of “super team” and “weak” etc etc. Not to say it isnt “weak” to star stack in the way some players do because these situations are more nuanced than that and how one feels about it all depends on the person.
But KD has a point here because everyone already called the Suns a super team before they even played, but once they were bad they ridiculed him for it. I think it’s just a play on the fact that the masses on social media will just see the name value/ppg numbers of a player and then instantly disregard the actual fit of the team. Anyone with more than the most surface level NBA knowledge knew that Suns team were no longer contenders the moment they got Beal, yet KD was still scrutinized as if they were.
