[Highlights] Dillon Brooks shows he’s in great shape, putting on a show in Toronto Pro-Am and dropping 38 points.
Light work for an NBA pro.
They are the LeBrons and MJs any other court they step on.
In the famous words of Brian Scalabrine: I’m closer to LeBron than you’re closer to me
(White) Mamba Mentality
In other news water is wet
You’d be surprised how many people think bench or role players in the NBA are actually not that good at basketball. Theres people who think they could score on a few nba players
I could score on An nba player. If I start at the hoop and he starts defending me from the other side (gotta allow me a few chances to rebound my missed layups)
I could score on a 100-year-old jordan
I could score on current bill russell

Reminds me of this hahaha
theoretically almost anyone can score on an nba player. if he throws it high enough my 12 year old nephew could score a lucky basket on wembanyama.
If an NBA player decides you arent going to score on them, unless you outsize them, that ball isnt getting very far out of your hands.
not every time. you could have the reincarnation of bill russell himself guarding a short person who has never played basketball before. out of 15 attempts the amateur will manage to throw up at at least one random ugly hail mary shot.
Nope.
Lol nah this is just how much it shows people don’t understand the gap.
I’m 5’9, played basketball my whole life, not good or anything but I am certainly better anybody who has never picked up a basketball before.
Played an ex college 6’2 player (not even a great one) one on one up to 15, no possession, and I couldn’t get a single point, got a total of 2 shots off and only one hit the rim. I couldn’t even dribble more than once without getting it taken away from me.
You’re thinking of those clips where the players give room for you to dribble, but if they lock in, they’ll just body you up giving you no space because they know you can’t drive past them anyways.
Edit to add by the fifth possession, I was so tired I had to pause for 30 seconds on my possession lmao. Every thing I wanted to do was used against me.
lol u proved my point. If you have ever played competitive against good players you’d know how wrong you are
By definition water is not wet
Brooks is awesome but even Patrick Williams would look like Kobe on this court
yb better
I know that every NBA player looks good in the pro am game, but I actually give Dylan Brooks a lot of credit for improving his bag every single year he went from being a knucklehead role player to actually being able to get a bucket.
he went from being a knucklehead role player to actually being able to get a bucket.
Last year he posted a 93 TS+ meaning that he was 7% less efficient as a scorer than the NBA average. For his career he’s 92 TS+.
The man started as a knuckleheaded roleplayed and he remains that. He has never at any point in his career been able to get a bucket and that has never changed.
He has not measurably improved as a scorer in his career. He started as offensive trash that can play credible defense and he remains a defensive specialist who occasionally injures opponents because that’s his only value on the court.
Dillon Brooks averaged 26 ppg in this year’s playoffs. Did you just wake up from a coma?
He also makes any team he’s on better. Instant grit injection. Memphis and Houston both cratered after he left.
Memphis and Houston both cratered after he left.
Yeah, he played for Houston and they won 52 games and lost in the first round of the playoffs. Then he left them and they absolutely cratered- without him they only managed to win 52 games and then lose in the first round of the playoffs. Now it may seem like those records are identical, but that’s only because those records are identical and your statement was absolute nonsense.
But, the difference is you replaced Brooks, Fred, and partially Adams with KD. The expectations were way higher, and they failed to meet those (with internal development).
Didn’t care to touch on the other 50% of teams I’d mentioned?
Putting that aside, your arrogant sarcasm is what’s actually nonsense because that KD team limped to the same record and nobody was scared of them.
“I named two things and one was partially right” isn’t the flex you seem to think it is.
Was that a deep playoff run?
How dare Brooks not carry the 8 seeded Suns past a fully healthy Thunder team
The fact the Suns were good enough to be there in the first place is a huge compliment to what Brooks brings to a team.
The chemistry of the team was night and day different one year apart.
Yeah, let’s look at a sample size of 4 straight losses that he happened to score a lot in instead of, you know, the entire season that he played that showed he can’t shoot.
Lmao
Did they win the championship?
People always wanna break out some advanced metrics doesn’t mean shit to me. - advanced matrix is trying to tell me that the MVP the finals isn’t a good player
Ok, how is this if you are completely math illiterate-
206 players shot the ball enough to be worth tracking last year. Dillon Brooks was a worse scorer than 178 of them. He is an abysmal scorer by NBA standards.
Typical. Where did I call him a great scorer ANYWHERE ON THIS THREAD?? All I said is I respect his hard work and improvement. And that he can get a bucket when he needs to. Dude makes every team he’s on better. Elite defender and master of the mental game. Grizz got worse when he left.
Not everyone loves advanced metrics for sports. You keep playing money ball and calling people illiterate.
Advanced metrics say you come off like a giant penis.
And that he can get a bucket when he needs to.
Which, as I have explained to you in both the dumb and smart ways, he cannot do.
You explained it based on a percentage and based on who scored more points overall. And I use Jalen Brown as a perfect example of somebody that according to the metrics isn’t a good player, but I literally watched him. Save the Celtics in game five and win the finals MVP. I guess I’d rather have a guy that hits a big shot when they need one. I’m excited for you to go look up how Dylan Brooks missed a bunch of big shots now. Lol
and based on who scored more points overall.
Oh boy, really not beating the illiteracy charges if that’s what you understood that sentence to say.
It was a list of “if this player tries to score what are the chances they succeed.” Or you know, what are the odds they get a bucket. Dylan Brooks has one of the lowest success rates in the league when he tries to score.
You win. Reddit Steven a.
Bro, you ONLY explain things in a dumb way. I know you have a some weird thing about him, but Dillon doesnt know you he can’t hurt you.
Leave Draymond out of this
I’m a Brooks stan and I’m frankly tired of pretending otherwise
I thought he was hella corny before but now i’m ngl I’m kinda liking it
He is corny, in the same way pro wrestling is corny and both are amazing.
I only dislike him because he swiped at Steph’s injured hand during close outs
Such an interesting shooting form.
Yeah his shot from distance looks like a one handed slingshot. Glad he’s able to make it work his middy looks great tho.
Facts. That guide hand comes off way too early.
“I’m closer to LeBron than you are to me!”
Who said this? I’ve never heard this quote.
Well not in two comments at least.
Brian Scalabrine
hope he’s ready to hit horrible shots at an even higher clip than he did last year because our projected starting lineup is going to have absolutely no spacing what so ever.
his form will only get uglier and his shooting percentages will only go up. dillon brooks MVP 2034
Did he slim down or is it the jersey?
Haircut???
lol this might be it
It was for me - I legit had to pause and investigate
Nailed it lol
Looks like he slimmed down and the jersey is an extra medium.
When was he ever in bad shape?
Underrated scorer imo. He’s always reduced to 3&D
Hate these comments on pro-am and summer workout vids.
20 ppg isn’t bad in the NBA
That doesn’t make him underrated. He’s a starter in the NBA, an elite player in Canada and at Oregon at averaged 40% from 3 his best season.
It’s an overused word. He’s clearly rated and paid adequate for his worth.
he was good last season
When I squint I see prime Deron Williams.
Go Ducks!
Damn also part of the buzz cut crew, this season gonna be serious
Can’t believe we got a Dillon off-season mixtape before Simmons one.
Yo why’s this look like clips from a video game? Not in a glazing way, but like actual video quality and how they move
High fps (120+) and 4k is my guess..
Noice!
LeBronto Pro-Am, to you
Why is it that I no longer hate Dillon Brooks, but still feel like I should?
There are levels to this
Thought that was Deron Williams
What was this recorded in, 20fps? That’s painful to watch.
Definitely looks more toned and leaner. Good for him.
Averaged an efficient 27 in a series against the defending champions, any lesser competition is light work
Finally got a decent fade
Everyone in red is tiny
What’s Am mean Fam?
Amateur
Don’t really like the guy but the new cut did wonders for him
He looks like a buff Deron Williams with the cut
Good he got rid of that disgusting hair
This man can ball many forget he was a top player coming out of Canada along with SGA
He’s not my favorite person but teams get better when he’s on them and get worse when he leaves them.
I wish he kept his hairstyle. The two braids always looked like horns to me. It made him look so much more sinister lol
Why does this video look like it was taken in 2k
Can’t tell if he’s gotten leaner or just the haircut or the jersey fit
Dude got that 2026 CJ Stroud look
Ugly fucking jumper
Dillon
Going at about 13 percent too
Probably no trash talking from him in these pro ams
It is actually so insane how good these guys are at an objectively real difficult sport. They can literally score at will against anybody on the planet, usually even other NBA players one on one.
top 10 nba player and it’s not close
In pro-am game? It’s kind of embarrassing that he didn’t score more.
This is Dillon Brooks. Not Malachi Flynn.
Or PP
We can’t all be Malachi Flynn putting up 72
Bam would’ve ticked up 120
