So how does it work exactly in terms of records?

I know both teams would have given him a physical ring. But they make tons of those and give them out to everybody and their grandma.

Would it have counted in the record books if the Spurs had won? There has to be some limit like “only players on the playoff roster count”.

Some random g league player that played 2 games in a 10 day contract shouldn’t be an “nba champion” if their team happens to win months later.

Honestly, it’s kind of disrespectful to Bones Hyland. He was a much better bench player compared to Thomas Bryant (who he was traded for), and Bryant played for 29 seconds during the 22-23 playoffs.

If he just finds a shooting coach he clicks with and gets to league average (or even a little below it) he would be a role player that would make almost any rotation in the league better. I was hoping the Knicks would bring him back and take that roll of the dice because he seemed to be a really good teammate. Always looked enthusiastic on the bench and didn’t complain about not getting minutes, stayed ready and went in for key stops in big moments even if he wasn’t playing all game.

There’s a lot to like.
