He played 18 seasons and was fantastic for most of them. He got older and couldn’t hang like he used to but his damn motor never turned off. Always put everything out there every night even when it got ugly. For people who saw his greatness there’s no question how we feel about Brodie. His PR was bad before the Lakers. The Wizards were his “last chance in the league”, “killed the triple double”, “ran KD off”, etc. A lot of nasty narratives before he got to LA.
He was a way better than avg guard, and no question had a motor that would outperform every opponent, but a goat PG is blasphemy! And I really don’t believe he’ll be 1st ballot, but I could be wrong…NBA does weird things nowadays.

when kd left for golden state my ex fiance and I had just split up and it felt fitting that it would all play out that way fav player fav person leaving, so, I threw my self into OKC basketball and fully submerged myself in the Russell Westbrook OKC era. Heck I threw out all my KD stuff, went out and the first new gear that I had bought was a T-shirt that had spelled out Westbrook on the front but the “we be OK” parts were in glorious thunder blue. Still have it, means alot to me as a connection to the previous generation.
Im genuinely beyond appreciative and grateful for those 2017+ thunder teams for getting me through some of thw toughest times in my life, I couldnt wait to get home every night and watch Russ beat up on the hoop like it stole something from him, always knowing that it was gonna happen but you just wondered how!
