[OC] Russell Westbrook could build a 6,974 square feet house with his bricks.

However, as u/Beneficial_Rock3725 mentioned, I completely did the math wrong, so now, after over a year, I’m correcting myself.
In my 1st post, I calculated using a 5 game sample size of Westbrook’s career that his brick % as a percentage of misses is 29.96%. Westbrook has missed 12,543 field goals in his career, so 0.2996*12543= approximately 3758 bricks.I’m assuming a hollow core CMU block.
Each block is 16” long, 8” tall, 8” wide. There’s no need for any window and door openings since the house we’re building is for the typical user here and there isn’t any need for light or going outside.
The area covered by 1 block is 16*8=128 square inches.
Converting to square feet, that’s 8⁄9 square feet.
The total wall area you can build with the 3758 bricks is 3758*8⁄9=3340.44 square feet
To get building perimeter, you divide by 10(the story height) to get 334.04 feet of perimeter.
Then, you assume the house is square and thus divide by 4 to get 83.51 feet of side length.
Floor area is side length squared, so 83.51 squared so 6,974 square feet is the maximum area of house that Westbrook could build with his bricks.

The limitation here is that mortar joint thickness is being ignored.
A 7k square feet house is pretty big…
