Watson is a 23-year-old 2-way wing that is still developing. he is the type of guy a team in Milwaukee’s position takes a chance on.

That being said, I draw the line at players and taking back Nnaji unless we are only giving up KPJ.

He’s a 23 year old at a position of need this is exactly what they should be doing.

It’s opportunistic gamble they are well positioned to take. If he takes another leap, it’s great, if not, it’s not a super big deal

I believe that is too much salary for Denver to take back. They need to duck the 2nd apron which makes it difficult to trade them more than one player.

They need to be at least 1.3M under the 2nd apron after the trade to sign a 14th player to a minimum.

Sims for Nnaji straight up helps them a lot, but a 3rd team would still be necessary for the bucks side

Unfortunately the money doesn’t work for AJ and KPJ (2nd apron). Also I don’t see KPJ being acceptable for Denver not just for value but also for the fact he has a domestic violence case.

It would have to be a player like Jaime to be acceptable imo.

We have another year of control on Jaime 0 reason to trade him. Also I doubt we’d give up KAS, but I wouldn’t hate it. He has some interesting upside but he needs to secure the ball before any shot at a starting role.

Then he loses because there’s no way the Nuggets situation is not gonna let him retain his current value next year. Players that take the qualifying offer never recoup the value that they wanted initially. Quentin Grimes wanted like 25-30 AAV last summer because he, like Watson, had a really good month or 2. He took the QO and he never got that money back. Now he’s making 15 AAV which is near what the Sixers were offering him anyway. If Watson takes the QO, he’s not gonna get the ⁴⁄₁₀₀ that he wants this summer. He’s gonna get close to the Nuggets initial offer of 14 AAV too.

They are asking for a lot because it’s not worth trading him otherwise.

The Kroenke’s have always paid when it made sense. They ducked the tax last year, but paid $20m in each of the two seasons prior.

Denver has unfortunately not had that many good teams during their ownership.
