Peyton Watson is overrated
I feel like he gets treated like a guaranteed stud, but outside of a short 15-game stretch where heavy injuries forced him into a massive usage role, his numbers reflect a standard, replaceable rotation wing. Demanding a contract upwards of $25 million per year ignores the reality that his half-court creation and overall consistency still fluctuate wildly from week to week. While he averaged a career-high 14.6 points per game in the 2025–26 season, his half-court creation remains a major red flag. His advanced stats are heavily buoyed by transition buckets
Edit: yeah I understand now 25 million is not star money I feel like he is being overvalued though from teams and he’s getting too much focus that’s all, kinda like Kumingq
