Not that it is a definitive scale but Warrior’s game highlights casually average like 1m views even during the regular season. Could easily be 2-4mil for bigger matchups. Even against a smaller market team, 700k and at worst 500k when Curry isn’t playing.

In contrast, OKC seems to average 200-500k and they may crack a mil for bigger matchups.

The players get half of the revenue, but they get none of the increase in equity. And superstars like Curry get less than they deserve because their salaries are artificially capped.

Until you realize that the owners are making way, wayyyyyyy more than the players, off the players labors, and that they’ve been underpaid this whole time for what they bring to the table because they’re artificially limited in earnings via contract maxes and the salary cap. There’s no cap or max on revenue for owners, who do fuck all nothing.

As a primarily hockey fan, it always amazes me that the top players in the NHL make absolute peanuts compared to stars in the NBA. Don’t get me started on football or other football. Still lots and lots of money but like in comparison it’s like nothing.

I honestly think he’s comfortable just finishing his career there like Dirk did with Dallas. Contending at the end of his career isn’t as important as finishing his career where it started. It’s a bit of a shame because I think he’s still very good, but can’t fault him for wanting to take big checks and be happy at home.
